  • After getting the Thunderbolt in Wetumpka, and I myself swinging by the one that failed on me in Millbrook last month to see if it was fixed (it apparently ain't), ‪@DJ2226‬ and I set-up at this 2001-130 in Prattville over at the intersection of US 82 and AL 14, though in vastly different spots. This siren replaced a Thunderbeam (that presumably came from Montgomery like the other two in Prattville) sometime between 2007 and 2009 per street view.
Admittedly, the main reason I chose this siren is a bit of nostalgia, as, one of the earliest siren videos I remember watching was one that ‪@Siren1000T1‬ had recorded years ago of a 2001-130 up there in Michigan doing attack for a test, and I'd wanted to hear one doing attack in person for a while now. Since Autauga County does attack as part of their standard test, well...
Thankfully, Autauga County did test on this day (despite the clouds) and I finally got to hear one doing attack in person! In fact, the siren wound-up about a minute early for its test.
Apologies that the shot isn't entirely centered properly.
Autauga County, AL, tests on the first Wednesday of every month at 10AM, weather permitting. If it is unable to be done on the first Wednesday, it is then delayed to the following Wednesday at 10AM, weather permitting.
