Me too, am in tears here, & I never had to set foot in Nam. As an Air Force at Tachikawa, Japan 67-69, I met many wounded, & 7o-71 had the honor as Flight Nurse, to bring our guys home (Elmendorf Ak. to Dover AFB).. You & all Nam vets still & always have humongous place in my heart.

Ask the people playing this piece in that nation, what freedom means and its cost. They'll tell you, it means everything and its a high price. I've walked those beaches, been in many of those little villages and towns and the cities. They remember us. They really do. No matter how you perform it. Hymn to the Fallen is one of the most moving works ever composed. It's John Williams' masterwork. ❤❤😢😢
