Bach’s small gem written for his second wife, Anna Magdalena contains pieces for solo keyboard and songs. Today they give the listener an insight into Bach’s domestic music making. This release presents not just the keyboard works. In eleven works the keyboard player is joined by a vocalist.

When I first heard this on the harpsichord, I thaught. This is most likely a baroque harpsichord because of the old tuning. The minuet in g, the one we are all familiar with, for some reason braught me to the realisation that this is the original thing, not some random recording. That felt kind of strange, but how did you manage to make it sound as though J.S.Bach was still alive and it was the baroque era?
So true, mostly its played on modern Pianos, but in i dont think Bach ever played a pianoforte, or when he was very old. But most of his"Clavier" music is for harpsichord, and it sound way more like Bach in my opinion
