Sir for PIV diode has to reverse bias as you said but the negative potential is connected to N side in centre tap

Sir,the polarity for piv in bridge wave may be reversed
When we remove the diode the polarity will be - to +

Direction of Piv is opposite to the direction of diode.

No, he always used to say the dc value or avg value
U can check it on lecture where he explained about the ripple factor for half wave
Why the efficiency is 80% instead of 100% Even in ideal condition.When it will be 100%😕?
Its because the output is not fully or pure dc.it is pulasting dc.For 100% efficiency the op will be a straight line.

Is this only applying to the ideal diode model or does it apply to the constant drop model as well?

you should only consider the diodes if there are more than 5 all over the circuit and inside the integrated circuit chips or if using germanium ones otherwise youll probabbly only loose a couple volts compared to a couple hundreds sometimes that slightly variation messes up the whole circuit

but D1 in the center tap circuit was reverse biased so it should have opposite potential.
sir, in bridge rectifier why we are applying Vm-Vo=0 rather than Vm-Vo-IR=0 as the current is flowing in the loop

If your diode has a PIV rating which is less than Vm, it will break down, we don't want that.

practically speaking if we put a voltmeter across terminals,,what is we are going to measure,,,it is obvious that is Vm,,,takes time to realize
