I bought a Legion 5i 3050, last year after Venom bhai recommended it. 2 weeks back I was working on my table, and suddenly the heavy bookshelf pinned to the wall fell and landed on the laptop screen. I was shocked less by the weak wall as what happened to the Legion surprised me more. NOTHING happened to it. The screen instead of breaking did the +180° hinge thing, went all the way down and the display frame handled the whole weight of the fallen bookshelf. My faith is shaken, as marketing claims anything, but Legion actually cares. TUF might be military grade, but Legion is God mode itself. Friends, always go for build quality, ALWAYS!! Exactly, good build quality usually doesnt feel in day to day life, unless one buys a poor build quality laptop and it creaks everytime someone opens it.

@@reus_xe yeah in price to performance predator wins but the brand also have to remember about it's after sales service and warranty. Just think you are getting a 150k laptop with just 1 year warranty with a very few options of service centers. Whereas legion gives you 3 year warranty along with accidental damage protection and 3 year battery replacement. So, for reliability i didn't consider acer and asus for services.
Bought Lenovo Legion Y540(i5 9th gen, 1660ti) mid 2020, 3 years later the performance still feels like I bought it yesterday. Never had any issue till date except recently when the charger stopped working, got a replacement for 7k. Judging by it's performance I would probably not need a new laptop for another 3-4 years minimum. Although it's a pleasant surprise how much technology has advanced over the years, by the time I need a new laptop it would probably have insane specs like i7 17th gen and Nvidia 8060 xD

I bought legion with R7 and 3060 a year back. I am a game dev student and have been developing my own games for over four years now. Legion seriously lives with its name . Everything from build , performance and display is just great

7i pro 4080 owner here. The laptop is solid but across the board a common complaint with 13900 hx processors are the overheating issues. Need to undervolt to keep temperature in check while gaming for CPU in mid 70's to 80 Deg celcius. Otherwise solid machine. Highly recommend go for 4080 or 4090 for future proofing. 8 GB vram will get redundant for ultra preset gaming in a couple of years.
It would've made sense if the laptops were priced like in the US where 4070 to 4080 upgrade costs like 300$(25-30k). Here we have to pay 80k to 1 lakh more to get one.

I purchased this laptop 5 days ago with a corporate login offer from Lenovo site itself. It's beautiful machine, 2 months before i took HP Omen 16 but suddenly there was no display, and that unit was marked as DOA after the motherboard replacement so i got a full refund from Amazon. And with this unit, its hinge quality is very superb due to sturdy build quality. The display is beautiful and processor Intel i7 13700HX with RTX 4060. Venom Tech's old video review made me to trust on Lenovo Legion and I'm very much impressed and happy with this instead of previous HP Omen 16 which i got full refund after DOA. Go for it ❤
@@tecHSonic Dead On Arrival. I got this DOA letter meaning the product cannot be repaired by a technician under the onsite warranty. So in that case a DOA letter was issued to me to get this unit replaced or full refund , but fortunately the unit itself was out of stock so I got a full refund from Amazon though it was HP responsibility.

In India online they are selling only white backlit keyboard. Also Acer got Killer Wifi too. Its sad that acer doesnt provides customization option like Lenovo. But anyways Im super satisfied with my Acer Predator 16. One thing I would like to say is Acer Predator Sense is super buggy so, on the spftware side Lenovo >>> Acer.

My work requires to run Kubernetes and Docker so I need at least 32GB RAM. Lenovo has the option to cuztomize and get 32GB with any model. With Acer I was stuck with 16GB RAM. There is another variant as well with 32G GB RAM but its i7. See RAM we can upgrade but processor we cant. On the consumer side, if we ignore the software aspects, I'm totally in love with my Predator 16. Its so gorgeous. Also temps are great. GPU rarely crosses 80 with avg around 78-80 and CPU rarely crosses 90 with Avg being 82-86. One big issue with Acer is they have put on a warranty void tag on screw. Update: Contacted Acer Service Center those guys are super greedy charging 11K for the RAM that's only 5000 online. Bad news i wont be able to upgrade the SSD as well.

One drawback of the laptop is that you can't change the fan, you have to change the whole cooling system.😐 The fan are of high rpm, so eventually the fan's bearing will start creating noise.

13:38 did I just saw it's 4060 gone to 140w 🤩🤩🤩 that's insane really. That's why it is legion pushing it's boundaries to max even in cpu 115w. But then comes thermals yeah they are on the higher side but manageable by limiting wattage to 80w. So shivam bro you can make a comparison game test between this(cpu at 80w) and predator helios 16. Then it would clear the confusion about it's thermals overall. The 240hz variable refresh rate is very rare in this price range good to see this. Btw loved the review❤❤❤
I bought Lenovo Legion Pro 5 Gen 8 (AMD 7745HX/rtx4060) from Lenovo India official website. I got it for 1.37L (after discounts and cashback offers) in June. This is the first time I have gone with AMD over Intel. I am hoping to not regret my decision.🤞 I also saw a bunch of videos (by JarrodTech, etc.) as the product had been launched earlier across the world. Intel 13700HX is rebadged 12900H which is flagship processor of previous gen. The processor is really powerful but it is also a power guzzler. It reportedly has overheating issues and lower battery power but the performance out is better than AMD in tests. My requirements were basic gaming and coding. So I am hoping that (5nm) 7745HX will suffice. It reportedly has slightly better thermals and better battery backup. Also, as Thunderbolt port has been dropped from Legion Pro 5i Gen8, there was another reason for me to choose AMD as I was anyway not getting it with Legion Hen 8 model. Apart from CPU, the overall quality of the laptop is amazing. - The 500nits screen is top-notch. - The keyboard is good for a laptop and it also has numpad (unlike Omen series). - Charging is fast - I spent additional 2k for MS Office lifetime and additional 2999/- for extended warranty including ADP (Accidental Cover). The total warranty is now 5 years including 3 year accidental cover. I have done a lot of research over the past few months and have realised that Legion Pro provides the Flagship experience of Windows. All the components are top-notch such as: - DDR 5 5200Mhz RAM - Gen 4 SSD - Intel WiFi 6e card (6G ready) - Good build quality - Great screen and keyboard - Optimised CPU-GPU experience Finally, I also bought Lenovo G27Q-30 QHD 2K extended screen and it also performs great. I am creating a clean setup so... so far so good. I hope Venom brother will soon review the AMD Legion Pro 5 as well and let us know the real life comparison with Intel variant.

Brown switch Mechanical Keyboard under 4k (Keychron is way out of budget for me) **Red Dragon K582 Surara (Brown switch) is in my wishlist but it has limited local reviews and is usually out of stock. (I am not sure about the Unboxed product with only 6-months warranty that is available though on RD website) **Rapoo V500Pro (Brown switch) looks like a great alternative with 2 years warranty but it has Rapoo brand switches, which I am not sure about, when compared to more recognised brand such as Outemu, Gateron, Akko, etc. I am looking for Thocky keyboard experience. 2. One more problem is that there is no card reader. Even I have a lenovo Legion laptop and use a dslr, I thought I had to buy an external reader for that, but luckily, the camera supports files transfer over USB. But still, it would have been better if it had a card reader.

But in legion you get better build in the price range base 3 year warranty, more ports, more cpu gpu tweaks(it would be useful if you know your stuff), advanced Optimus(where other laptops give only optimus in mux switch), 300w brick(don't get me wrong it'sheavy bulky i know for for this the laptops cpu gpu can reach it's full limit. Others give 240w brick). So for legion I will pay and that's my dream laptop.

I saw a lot of reddit threads that the 7745hx is getting very hot. 95 degrees +...they returned and went for the Intel Version. But Intel is more expensive as always.

@@reus_xe yeah in price to performance predator wins but the brand also have to remember about it's after sales service and warranty. Just think you are getting a 150k laptop with just 1 year warranty with a very few options of service centers. Whereas legion gives you 3 year warranty along with accidental damage protection and 3 year battery replacement. So, for reliability i didn't consider acer and asus for services.
Bought Lenovo Legion Y540(i5 9th gen, 1660ti) mid 2020, 3 years later the performance still feels like I bought it yesterday. Never had any issue till date except recently when the charger stopped working, got a replacement for 7k. Judging by it's performance I would probably not need a new laptop for another 3-4 years minimum.
Although it's a pleasant surprise how much technology has advanced over the years, by the time I need a new laptop it would probably have insane specs like i7 17th gen and Nvidia 8060 xD

7i pro 4080 owner here. The laptop is solid but across the board a common complaint with 13900 hx processors are the overheating issues. Need to undervolt to keep temperature in check while gaming for CPU in mid 70's to 80 Deg celcius. Otherwise solid machine. Highly recommend go for 4080 or 4090 for future proofing. 8 GB vram will get redundant for ultra preset gaming in a couple of years.

I purchased this laptop 5 days ago with a corporate login offer from Lenovo site itself. It's beautiful machine, 2 months before i took HP Omen 16 but suddenly there was no display, and that unit was marked as DOA after the motherboard replacement so i got a full refund from Amazon. And with this unit, its hinge quality is very superb due to sturdy build quality. The display is beautiful and processor Intel i7 13700HX with RTX 4060.
Venom Tech's old video review made me to trust on Lenovo Legion and I'm very much impressed and happy with this instead of previous HP Omen 16 which i got full refund after DOA.

@@tecHSonic Dead On Arrival. I got this DOA letter meaning the product cannot be repaired by a technician under the onsite warranty. So in that case a DOA letter was issued to me to get this unit replaced or full refund , but fortunately the unit itself was out of stock so I got a full refund from Amazon though it was HP responsibility.

In India online they are selling only white backlit keyboard. Also Acer got Killer Wifi too. Its sad that acer doesnt provides customization option like Lenovo. @@vijaykumarvc66 Look wise, Acer seems so eye catchy that why I brough Acer. My specs are i9 13th with 4070 and 16GB RAM and I got it from Acer Exclusive store. My work requires to run Kubernetes and Docker so I need at least 32GB RAM. Lenovo has the option to cuztomize and get 32GB with any model. With Acer I was stuck with 16GB RAM. There is another variant as well with 32G GB RAM but its i7. See RAM we can upgrade but processor we cant. On the consumer side, if we ignore the software aspects, I'm totally in love with my Predator 16. Its so gorgeous. Also temps are great. GPU rarely crosses 80 with avg around 78-80 and CPU rarely crosses 90 with Avg being 82-86. One big issue with Acer is they have put on a warranty void tag on screw.
Update: Contacted Acer Service Center those guys are super greedy charging 11K for the RAM that's only 5000 online. Bad news i wont be able to upgrade the SSD as well.

One drawback of the laptop is that you can't change the fan, you have to change the whole cooling system.😐

13:38 did I just saw it's 4060 gone to 140w 🤩🤩🤩 that's insane really. That's why it is legion pushing it's boundaries to max even in cpu 115w. But then comes thermals yeah they are on the higher side but manageable by limiting wattage to 80w. So shivam bro you can make a comparison game test between this(cpu at 80w) and predator helios 16. Then it would clear the confusion about it's thermals overall. The 240hz variable refresh rate is very rare in this price range good to see this. Btw loved the review❤❤❤

I bought Lenovo Legion Pro 5 Gen 8 (AMD 7745HX/rtx4060) from Lenovo India official website.
I got it for 1.37L (after discounts and cashback offers) in June.
This is the first time I have gone with AMD over Intel. I am hoping to not regret my decision.🤞
I also saw a bunch of videos (by JarrodTech, etc.) as the product had been launched earlier across the world.
Intel 13700HX is rebadged 12900H which is flagship processor of previous gen.
The processor is really powerful but it is also a power guzzler. It reportedly has overheating issues and lower battery power but the performance out is better than AMD in tests.
My requirements were basic gaming and coding.
So I am hoping that (5nm) 7745HX will suffice. It reportedly has slightly better thermals and better battery backup.
Also, as Thunderbolt port has been dropped from Legion Pro 5i Gen8, there was another reason for me to choose AMD as I was anyway not getting it with Legion Hen 8 model.
Apart from CPU, the overall quality of the laptop is amazing.
- The 500nits screen is top-notch.
- The keyboard is good for a laptop and it also has numpad (unlike Omen series).
- Charging is fast
- I spent additional 2k for MS Office lifetime and additional 2999/- for extended warranty including ADP (Accidental Cover). The total warranty is now 5 years including 3 year accidental cover.
I have done a lot of research over the past few months and have realised that Legion Pro provides the Flagship experience of Windows.
All the components are top-notch such as:
- DDR 5 5200Mhz RAM
- Gen 4 SSD
- Intel WiFi 6e card (6G ready)
- Good build quality
- Great screen and keyboard
- Optimised CPU-GPU experience
Finally, I also bought Lenovo G27Q-30 QHD 2K extended screen and it also performs great.
I am creating a clean setup so... so far so good.
I hope Venom brother will soon review the AMD Legion Pro 5 as well and let us know the real life comparison with Intel variant.
Further suggestions for a clean setup for the following are most welcome:
1. Brown switch Mechanical Keyboard under 4k (Keychron is way out of budget for me)
**Red Dragon K582 Surara (Brown switch) is in my wishlist but it has limited local reviews and is usually out of stock.
(I am not sure about the Unboxed product with only 6-months warranty that is available though on RD website)
**Rapoo V500Pro (Brown switch) looks like a great alternative with 2 years warranty but it has Rapoo brand switches, which I am not sure about, when compared to more recognised brand such as Outemu, Gateron, Akko, etc.
I am looking for Thocky keyboard experience.
2. Wireless gaming mouse (I prefer slightly bigger mouse) under 3-4k
**Razer DeathAdder V2 X Hyperspeed is currently shortlisted but it also has a lot of negative reviews on Amazon about faulty scroll wheel and double click issue). It was also available under 3k during Prime day sale and I missed it. 🥲
**I am not considering Logitech G304 due to its smaller size, I guess, although, the quality control especially warranty claims of Logitech are far better than with Razer products in India
3. Thick Mouse Pad (big size)
4. Decent Cooling Pad (It also serves as a stand for the laptop)
** Most cooling pads are actually blowers that blow air into the air suction vents of laptops. There is also a cooling vaccum device option but, of course, it doesn't come with a stand

One more problem is that there is no card reader. Even I have a lenovo Legion laptop and use a dslr, I thought I had to buy an external reader for that, but luckily, the camera supports files transfer over USB. But still, it would have been better if it had a card reader.

But in legion you get better build in the price range base 3 year warranty, more ports, more cpu gpu tweaks(it would be useful if you know your stuff), advanced Optimus(where other laptops give only optimus in mux switch), 300w brick(don't get me wrong it'sheavy bulky i know for for this the laptops cpu gpu can reach it's full limit. Others give 240w brick). So for legion I will pay and that's my dream laptop.

@@FoF_7 Tuf 15 with rtx 4060 is around 1 lac, but legion with rtx 4060 is 1.5 lac....but in tuf you get normal 144hz 1080p display i7 13th gen nd some minor cost cutting also... Spending 50k more for legion can be worth... Nd in sale it would be much more worth to buy legion.
