I'm gluten free. Any suggestions? I use flour from rice, beans, cassava, pumpkin, green banana, coconut and tree nuts. No gums, corn, soy or potato though. Help.
Just made this for my family.....amazing, my fussy son even said it was better than any restaurant pasta and we've holidayed in Italy many times. Thank you for such a good recipe.
I’ve always used Stinging Nettles to make a liquid feed for my veg. Recently I learned how to make a strong twine from its stem and although I’ve eaten nettles as an alternative to spinage I never thought to make a pasta with it. I’m definitely going to do so now and dry some nettle noodles for the winter. Thanks again.
Just had some nettle tea... hand is tingling from the stings of picking them earlier, but i love the feeling myself, am i weird? Haha! Will maybe try this next week. Thanks ❤
I have never made pasta, so this might be a dumb question but, can you make the noodles in advance and preserve them somehow to make in big batches for dry storage, or is this for fresh same day eating? Love the videos! I watched the ivy laundry soap video earlier and made a batch I will use tomorrow 😊
Hi, make the noodles as normal, thin is better then thick when drying for storage. Lay them flat or role into a ‘nest’ shape. Leave them in a warm room, turn then regularly so they dry thoroughly. Snap one and see if they are dry in the middle. That’s it! It can take a few hours on a hot dry day. Just keep turning them. Once completely dry pop them in a jar. Leave the lid off overnight to ensure all moisture is gone, then put the lid on as normal. Enjoy.
i find your identifcation with plants the best, you explain the differences between them and common plants that may look similar. I need help, I have a plant that my app keeps saying is blue vervain but when i search for videos no one really identifies them correctly, is the stalk square, prickly, can the flower buds be short and square rather long and skinny? my husbands making me cut down the back yard and i have this growing everywhere and if it is blue vervain i can use it for depression, but if the plant i have will kill me then well, i guess it ends depression too... lol. my main stalks are square and the buds arnt as long as some of the pictures but I dont know if its just because they are not totally mature.
I'm going to try that for supper one night this week! Looks fab! I still have to get your Calendar book but to be honest I'm still reading your first book! Another lovely video! Ps, I listen to the music by Jamie every day, I love "The Long Walk"
Hi yous two are amazing the way you show people how to live a life Full of goodness we just bought your book off amazon my wife is having a bit of trouble with garlic and lilly of the valley where we live do u think you could help her tell the difference while she is picking them as leaves look identical when there's no flowers thank you so much keep up the great work
Would love to have a go at this. Just need to find egg replacer , and what's that in comments about calendar book? Did I miss something. Info please as I loved the last one.
Hi was thinking we Baught you book witch is amazing full of knowledge an app would be fantastic I would pay for it for when my self wife and kids are out foraging
I made some noodles a few years ago, spent half the day drying it(I wound the strands into ‘nest’ shapes). Let them dry slowly but completely. I stored them for a couple of years just to see, and then cooked them last year. They were lovely. The trick is to dry them thoroughly, do a snap test by breaking a bit off to make sure it’s dry in the middle before storage. Hope that helps.
I had no idea nettles could be included in a pasta recipe. Ive currently got a bundle of nettles hung in my airing cupboard drying out, my intention is to make nettle tea leaves!!!
Check out our awesome books!

In Greek we make a pie called tsouknidopita it has feta cheese tomato and stinging nettles it’s amazing
you can also boil them in the water left over from boiling the nettles for extra flavour

Great video, I’d like to try this 😊. Can you pick the nettles at any time or does it have to be before flowers/seeds? Thanks

В России, как например в моем регионе, в сельской местности готовят летний суп из крапивы. Лет 15 его не пробовал!
Hi to you all ,

Hi. What type of flour do you use also what olive oil do you use with is it extra virgin?
Would love to have a go at this. Just need to find egg replacer , and what's that in comments about calendar book? Did I miss something. Info please as I loved the last one.

You should use them before they have seeds.
Hi was thinking we Baught you book witch is amazing full of knowledge an app would be fantastic I would pay for it for when my self wife and kids are out foraging
An app full of info like our book ? Or a plant I'd app ? 🙂
An app like your book to take on the go when we are out foraging would be an amazing price of kit to have thanks for replying
If you dry the pasta out, would it be safe to leave on the shelf for a while?
I'd like to know how to dry it out and how long it will last
@@heatherdavison-2891 When I dry normal pasta i hang it on a wire rack and it takes about half a day to dry.
@@shillinhite3911 Thanks.
Yes. It's shelf stable if you dry it well. Make the pasta when it's sunny and dry outside.

Love this channel and it's informative content along with the lovely music Dane's poetry. I'm going to see if I can find your books in Waterstones.
There's a lot of nettles now so I'm giving it a go. I'll record it for you. ✌️
Ash will be helping ...she doesn't know yet. 😂
🤣
Lovely!
Well now you've shown us nettle pasta, perhaps next you wil do a plantain plaster :D
Stinging nettle is one of my absolute favorite herbs. I cannot wait to try this recipe! As always i love your videos
Ooh looks yummy! 😋 I'll have to veganise this and smother it in wild garlic pesto! 😋 Love home is where the pasta is! 😂❤
That's awesome! Question, can you use nettles from any stage in growth even after going to seed or do you need. Young plants?
What a wonderful pasta recipe! Will definitely give this a try when I come into some fresh nettle!
I had no idea nettles could be included in a pasta recipe. Ive currently got a bundle of nettles hung in my airing cupboard drying out, my intention is to make nettle tea leaves!!!
Can i use egg replacer to make this vegan??
I don't think you need an egg replacer. You can leave the eggs out.
Definitely got to try this, might throw in some spinach too, added nutrients and a bright green, another great video thanks guys 🍃 ❤
I made nettle tagliatelle for our evening meal today after watching this clip, it's so easy to make and tastes delicious
Just came across your channel. Fantastic guys. Well presented, informative, and you guys are warm and friendly. Big thumbs up from me 👍👍

Does the stinging part disappear after it's cooked?
Yes 👍
😂 did you really need to ask
Like anybody wants their throat to be stung after each bite 🙄
I've not had stinging nettle before. Looks great and without a pasta maker!
