The Fairchild-Republic A-10 Thunderbolt II is a turbo-fan powered single-seater attack aircraft. The prototype flight took place in 1972, and serial production took place in 1975-1984. In total, 715 examples of this aircraft were built. The main task of the A-10 was to combat armor of the Warsaw Pact in central and western Europe. It was also supposed to balance the quantitative advantage of the USSR over NATO troops in armored weapons. Such a task resulted in the fact that the plane is characterized by a great resistance to damage, unheard of in other assault machines, the armor of the cockpit and a very high overall durability of the structure. The A-10 is also manoeuvrable - at 275 km / h, the turning radius is 300 meters, increasing to just 400m with a speed increase of 550 km / h. The main armament is the 30mm GAU-8 / A rapid-fire cannon. In addition, the plane can carry from 6,500 to 7,300 kg of weapons depending on the amount of fuel transferred. The A-10 Thunderbolt II was used in combat in Operation Desert Storm, where it performed excellently and proved its high value. Technical data: Top speed: 706 km / h; maximum range: 3950 kg, climb speed 30.5 m / s.

Very detailed and dynamic looking diorama my friend! It was nice watching it unfold over the past several months. It looks exactly like the aircraft I worked on for over 15 years. I will let my friends know about your video.who are still maintaining the Warthog. 😊
Thank you Darren for all your input during the build!
@@modelfun My pleasure, it was a lot of fun looking back on my time working with this aircraft.
Beautiful build
Thank you for watching and leaving a comment. Glad you like it.
I bought the Squadron-Signal reference book years ago. The landing gear has a rat's nest of electrical cables, brake cables, and pneumatic tubing.
Some UV resin over those modded landing lights really made them look very realistic.
Thank you.
I was spoiled to have the Selfridge Red Devils' A-10Cs near me. They always do impressive low-speed CAS flying and touch-and go's around Chesterfield and Harrison Township, Michigan. Their P-47 tribute paintjob with invasion stripes was the cat's t@ts.
Nice!
Surprised nobody ever came up with a better ECM pod for Warthogs and Vipers.
So glad we finally got a few decent replacements for those antiquated Tamiya and Monogram kits.
True, there was a long gap in beetween, and all of the sudden there are few new releases. :)
Hello Rafal, that was a absolutely outstanding build of a very iconic US aircraft, your attention to deatail wax excellent with the small carrier cart and the well chocks, maybe you could gave added a aircraft mover tractor and some ground crew, congratulations on a job very well done, best regards from Australia, Les
Thank you Les! :) It's nice to see you like it!
Best
Rafal
Wow, that separated wing-root fillet makes locking the wing in quite easy, doesn't it?
I think it does, however the instruction says it should be mounted before the wing. To me it looked as an obstacle, so I did opposite :)
Hello mr. Mofu!flawless build you have done.thank u4 delivering fun excitenes and Inspiration. I truly like your comment.thank u4sharing.keep your mojo!with best regards and sticky greetings from Brandenburg germany.faithfully yours.your modellmate.christian
Hello Christian! :) Thank you for watching and good words!
Greetings!
Quinta 3Decals to the cockpit rescue for sure.
I'd rather support one of the many Ukrainian companies rather than a Russian company such as Quinta
@@BarkingSpyda Kelik for sure.
@@TAWei-hi6uv Absolutely! 🇺🇦
Funny that Fairchild Republic left the Pave-Penny mounts, even though the Sniper and LANTIRN pods the A-10Cs carry put them in the technological ash-heap.
Well done; and I think a Pilot climbing up the ladder would be a highlicht and two ground personal disarrange or moving the wheelchocks? (I do not know the engl word)
Thank you for watching, and your suggestion. I also think few figures will add to the scene and make it more busy. Never worked with the figures, so it may be a big challenge :) But I will try :)
Really wanted to watch this but couldn't hang with the AI commentary. Would rather have heard you talking about your process and what you were doing. Other than that, it looked like it was going to be a decent view.
I know the feeling. I can't stand my own voiceover :). But, there is a solution. Voice - OFF, subtitles - ON :)
