I have owned a z400 for three years and I love it and have no intentions to get rid of it. I have had a full A license for over 25 years, but I have no need for any more power then this. It is so much fun.
I've got a 2023 Z400 too, the white and red version, and it's enough to get where you need to go but not enough to get you in trouble. I love mine, couldn't ask for a better first bike.
Riding for over 30 years, owned everything from 125 cc to 1000 cc, recently bought a z400 and loving it, its all thats needed on UK roafs, now kore than ever when comparing our roads now to when i first started riding in late 1980's.
I have the ninja 400, I think this is the perfect power for the streets. Incredibly engaging with its light weight, and ability to actually run through the gears to red line should you feel in a playful mood. As a reference I use to own a zx14r and the ninja 400 at the same time. The ninja 400 definitely got more use. But then we are all different in what we find fun. Zx14r was a lot of fun on the motorway, but for everything else I generally went for the n400.
Bought a new one of these a couple of months ago... absolutely hoot to ride.. plenty of power to have fun with and so light and nimble and agile around the twisties... had a few bikes over the years but this is just so much fun... the only problem is trying to restrain yourself from going fast everywhere!
I've got the white and red version of this bike and I couldn't ask for a better first bike. I put on a Leo Vince GP Corsa Evo exhaust and I swear I could feel a little power increase, maybe just from getting rid of that massive sewing machine sounding stock exhaust but still I swear it gave it a little more giddyup.
I did enjoy your review greatly. Additionally it made up my mind and I snapped up one of the last new ones (same colour) for exactly £4.5k otr. I liked the fact you are used to larger but had fun with this. That's all I want. Cheap fun without losing my license. Can't wait now for delivery.
Not a real 0-60 because the speedo is off 10%, ....37 tooth rear sprocket gets you pretty close to true MPH. My wife only weighs 120 lbs. so it still scoots her along really well.
This was just before the Z500 came out, I got my Z400 in March and they got a Z500 in the shop like a month or so later. But honestly the difference between a 400 and 500 isn't that awful much especially on the same platform. But yeah the 500 would be noticeably quicker but not blowing your visor off so
@@1000yeardragon I ended up getting the z650 in the end. but reviews like this led me to the Z rather than the MT07 or the bm gs series. so thank you. Ive really enjoyed the Z650.
@lightend100 good stuff man, yeah I just love my Z400 I looked at the MT-03 but the Z was just the bike for me. I'm looking at a Z650 or Z640RS (the retro style one) as my next bike, I hope you enjoy your Z I know I've enjoyed mine. Stay safe out there and keep two down bro

@wendysharpe4568 nice, yeah I plan on keeping mine for a long time even after I get another bike, it's a great city bike

22' z400 owner here.
Fun little ripper! Best bang for my buck
Picked up my z500 2 weeks ago, absolutely love it!
The Z400 is a solid bike. Plenty quick.

My first motorcycle. I learned on this bike, upgraded to a Tuono 660 after 2 seasons and 10 k miles.
@dunkcsa9780 I completely agree.
Just put deposit on a 2022 today. Big upgrade from my old yamaha zeal 250
Nice, you definitely won't be disappointed
Got lv10 and done bout 1500kms. Awesome bike
@@adr197900 I've put about 3000 miles ( ~5000km) on mine in the 4 and a half months I've had it and I've loved every min on it
Z900. Had for about a month now. Monster of a bike.
But less carefree riding/ownership
Does USA get the same version?
Wow!. This bike is amazing, Obviously I overestimate the Kawasaki brand. Lovely and full power engine all package together.

Can I take this as first bike ? I’m looking to have new experience with motorcycle world
Yes. US version is more powerful. 49 hp. I believe British version is detuned to around 45 for A2 regulations.
I’m buying a brand new one tomorrow. 🤙🏽
I suspect the z500 wheelies better.
How about the z500? Z400 has been replaced by the500
