    i think a lot of the times the load instructions are auto generated nowadays by computer software when posting the information to the load boards and there is very little actual human to human communication between shippers and consignees. But always CYA and get names of anyone who gives you permission to open seals and make sure to notate such deviations on the BOLs. Thanks for all you do out there truckers. Keep the shiny side up! 🚛

      100%, I fancy myself the king of documenting “oddities” with a load. Some people are satisfied with pictures, part of my mind is thinking “I wonder if I could document this better with a drone?”🤣
      It for sure is computers/AI making these decisions. This was a night that fell into the favor of Amazon but there are plenty of nights where the favor falls in my direction. I’ve been at sites before where the same moves keeps getting posted even though the trailer doesn’t exist. Parking the truck and collecting a TONU every 1.5 hours feels wrong, but if they’re going to keep posting them, why not me?
      I appreciate you being here

      It wasn’t really meant to be a call out, just a situation I’ve seen many times over the last couple years.

    You’re now officially on the black list for Amazon. I’d like to welcome you to the club. We have lifetime memberships on your dime. You should have learned not to call them out by the things I’ve told you 😂

      Are you still on a list?
      A call out wasn’t really my intention, I’ve just seen this situation 40+ times and what made this time different is they kind of got my to bite on it a little when I booked it. I should’ve known better.

    I'm going to defend Amazon a little on this one. This happens all the time when it starts snowing on I80/Donner Summit. I have literally dropped an Empty at RNO4 and immediately picked up an Empty and taken it back to where I brought the first one from. After it happened a few times, I asked a TOM Member what the heck is going on. It all started when they took the human out of the guard shack. Example...A.I. will see that there are only (4) Empties at RNO4. So, it will order (10) Empties from Sacramento, Stockton area. What the human always knew but A.I. doesn't, is that there are several trailers in transit but are delayed due to chain controls or temporary road closures over the summit. So now, you have A.I. over ordering Empty trailer moves. When the roads clear up, A.I. sees RNO4 has too many Empties, and orders them back to where they came from. I know in your example there are no weather-related issues, but it's still A.I. deciding all this inventory being moved around.

      I’m going to 100% agree with you on it being AI making these decisions. Early on in my Amazon career when I would visit relatively “new” facilities that were under human control, things like what we both are speaking about were exceptionally rare. As these facilities became more established (humans were removed from guard shacks, screens were installed, etc) these situations seemed to increase exponentially.
      And if I’m being honest, these situations cut both ways. I feel like a night like this it definitely fell into Amazon’s favor however there have been plenty of times where the AI keeps ordering empty trailer moves and there are no empties. Much like the 100 man turtle glitch in Mario, one can stay parked and collect as many TONU’s as they can.
      The introduction of AI into this has definitely created an exciting layer to the onion. Maybe I’m stupid, but I’ve played enough strategy games in my life to always believe the computer can be beat🤣

      @@STATTrucking Yep. That's why I don't get all bent out of shape when things like that happen. Like you say, at the end of the year I've always outsmarted that A.I. more than it got me...☺

    i got it from em last week with a dozen loads on the board for 1,500 bring trailer i should have known better to see that type of money sitting on the board like that...not good for the guys that are serious about the grind then go back and forth with you about taking the trip out of being in transit to get the $TONU

    • @STATTrucking
      @STATTrucking  3 місяці тому

      Yep, definitely a bad situation for everyone and makes me question their intentions. When they review the metadata, the only message I can send back their way is “this guy never falls for this”. Always good to hear from you, appreciate you being here #providergrind

    I tried Amazon loads but I found it to be very cheap. I only do the shuttle moves with them now. I know people go based of per mile pricing but that doesn’t apply to local loads. No local load should be less than 250-350 and that’s the bare minimum (Talking about 1-60 mile run). Of course better rates at better times would pay more than that. It’s a tough business but you have to find yourself a direct shipper,good broker, or good loads on loadbaords.

    • @STATTrucking
      @STATTrucking  3 місяці тому

      Amazon definitely offers low paying loads 100% of the time, even at the best of times, low paying loads are a constant. The trick is trying to figure out when/where they are dropping 💎’s. Hostler gigs are still one of my favorite things, but even those require some negotiating to get proper compensation.
      I agree with you 100% on those local runs paying alright and it’s wild to see the Amazon minimum go from $200➡️$180➡️$150➡️❓🤯
      About the only times these make sense is when you can string together a bunch of them, I’m never leaving the house for $150

    Just started this week with Amazon relay. How long does it take them to pay? None of my loads show on payment tab on the app.
    Tucson facilitys have tons loads but they pay crap because I’m new with Amazon without an Amazon score.
    I’m a owner operator running my own business since 2016

    • @STATTrucking
      @STATTrucking  3 місяці тому

      Your completed trips will show up under your “trips” tab, once there, toggle it over to “history”. They will remain there until the week ends (Saturdays at 23:59). You should receive an invoice (via email) for them on Tuesday and the money should be in your account on Wednesday (Thursday at the latest).

    Love hate relationship...Man you may see a load 1.60 and look down a little and see 2.50 ...Its all about timing....And then you get spoiled system so smooth and then you book with a broker at DAT show up at the shipper,Guard shack tell you to check-in across the street,drive down the street and drop trailer off,and then walk in office...😂🤣😂🤣

    • @STATTrucking
      @STATTrucking  3 місяці тому

      Love hate relationship for sure
      Timing is everything, you figure the load board updates every 15 seconds, that’s 5760 version of the same load board each day 🤯
      Amazon is very convenient, no onboarding, paid relatively quickly, most sites are straightforward, but I definitely feel like these features lead to complacency, which can lead to leaving money on the table is one is not paying attention.

      What’s up, I watched ever single one of your videos surrounding them double booking your blocks, making it to where you couldn’t stay compliant with HOS, and then lowering your grade. They did you wrong IMO and I actually think the cook things like this “into the sauce” so they’re able to take good carriers and pay them less for the same work.
      The psychology of having a “bad grade” makes a lot of people accept a poorer outcome because they feel a sense of responsibility. But when the grade is smoke and mirrors, it doesn’t elicit the same response out of me.
      I love your vids and appreciate you for being here.

    have u ever considered arizona as a go-to and back? or is LA as far as u go?

    • @STATTrucking
      @STATTrucking  3 місяці тому +2

      I have had bad luck with backhauls in both Phoenix and Vegas. I have zero problem finding a great load going there, but coming back becomes difficult. I’m down to go across country, but I need that money to be more than I can make bouncing around SoCal because it may not be a very “truck driver” thing to say, but I like sleeping in my bed at home.
      I basically wait for a great paying interstate trip that pays enough so if I come back empty, it doesn’t matter to stay compliant with the IFTA minimum of 1 interstate trip/year.
      I will always point my truck in the direction of money, if local work dries up, regional/OTR here I come.

    $2 a mile but a new dpf filter is $5k… makes sense

    • @STATTrucking
      @STATTrucking  3 місяці тому

      Yep, I really believe the Amazon system is built off of convenience which leads to complacency. It’s very convenient to not have to onboard with new brokers, I love getting paid within a week, but how much money is one willing to leave on the table for these features.
      I never forget there are other trucking opportunities out there for me and am constantly comparing Amazon to everyone else. I will always go to where the money makes sense and would encourage everyone to do the same.

    You said they will give u case # & cancel the load? Than they pay u what? Do u have your own MC#? If u have your own Mc# and u show up for a load and the shipper/ broker cancel u can legally charge them for half the value of the load

    • @STATTrucking
      @STATTrucking  3 місяці тому

      Case - Yes, them issuing you a case # just means there is zero doubt the load will not go through
      Pay - They pay you a TONU, with Amazon it varies between $165-$175
      MC - Yes, I have my own MC#
      Half Pay - I am not familiar with this, if you have additional info on this, please let me know, I would be grateful for the information. Most brokers I have worked with have TONU’s (Truck Order Not Used) built into their contracts which vary between $150-$200 which in many cases, is significantly less than half the value of the load.

      I definitely feel fortunate to live in a decent Amazon market. I’ve done enough load board vids for people to be aware it is not great everywhere. IMO, the top three Relay markets are:
      1.NY/NJ
      2.Bay Area
      3.SoCAL
