I was Director Of Photography for The Crown Fountain, and shot the images of the faces that appear on the fountain, using a Sony HDW F900 high-definition camera. I worked directly with artist Jaume Plensa, at The School Of The Art Institute, and have to dispute the claim that the fountain's watery pool was not intended for visitors to splash about in...in fact, Jaume Plensa never learned to swim as a child, and was therefore frustrated at not being able to play in the fountains of his Spanish hometown...when he designed the Crown Fountain, he wanted to create a fountain that anyone could wade into, without fear of drowning! So the interactive nature of the shallow pool of water between the towers was always "intentional" and not just an accident...though when he saw how many children were playing in the water for the first time, he was brought nearly to tears of happiness!

It's fun, but I wouldn't call it beautiful.
