Mom gave me the dinosaur 25 cent coin for christmas one year with a little flashlight thing that shows up the skeleton in the dinosaur. Its pretty cool.
Awesome info. New sub here. Just confirmed I have the snow on tree's version toonie...I had zero idea what the hell it was trying to represent. Confirmed they do glow in dark too..🙃

Short answer, no. A few key dates exist and those can be worth something. Buy a Cdn coins and currency book and educate yourself. If you don't educate yourself you'll never know what you have. Don't take someone else's opinion of what your coins are worth.
@@IKnewMickey last time I checked it suggested it was like 500$ to 10000$ I just happend to have a few in my collection. I got unciculated 2$ bills last year made. And I got that snow glow in the dark coin a few of them. Sometimes I just think only guys easy parted with money collect them.
Ignore Mister Boohoo’s comment….you can sell them on several Facebook groups, Marketplace, online auction sites. You just need todo a little homework first to research their value. Take the book price and generally deduct 60-70%. On those of low circulation you can put on auction sites and see where it goes. There are coin dealers AND collectors who want what you have for as little as they can pay. But you are the seller. You do have the control of who you want to sell to and for what value. Good luck!
I just checked my 2017 toonies and I have 9 colourized dance of spirits of which 4 are very clearly the snow on trees/peaks. This seams like they are nearly 50/50 or mine came from a good roll.
I just watched your vid. Reached in to my wallet and pulled out a twoonie. It is German planchet, but very beat up 😢. What are the odds right? And then not be worth anything. Uhg!!!

@@Hershey1000 yeah I know how it’s spelled, that’s called affect. Also it’s a TWO dollar coin right not an ALSO ( too ) coin, it really should have been TWOnie all along but we Canadians seem as though we’re TOO stupid to understand that.

But the names of the coins that people generally call them are what Americans call them quarter, dime, nickel.
