    When my parents got engaged, my dad’s siblings told my mom all about his two- and three-timing youth. My mom said had she found that out earlier in their relationship, she would’ve broken up with him. But the way she saw it, that all happened before her. As long as he was faithful to her, there was no issue. And as far as we all know, he was faithful to her ‘til the day he died.

    I remember a while back listening to an advice show, a man called in and said "I cheated on my wife and I feel so guilty about it, so I think I should confess!"
    The advice he was given was, "don't hurt her just to alleviate your guilty feelings.
    If you plan on leaving her, or cheating again, then tell her.
    If not, then say nothing, stay faithful and make it to her everyday, and never ever even ONCE complain about anything she does that you don't like, because it'll never be as bad as what YOU did!
    And you know it."

      Sarah nailed it, as she often does with these topics. The only reason the ex is contacting his ex’s new partner is because he has not gotten over the relationship.. It is an impulsive move and it always makes you look like the crazy person. In all honesty, you’re not really looking out for a stranger’s best interest you are just an ex that is scorned. You really need to think of the motive here. You were trying to ruin your exes potential happiness in a future relationship.

    As a 53 y/o woman out in the dating world one of the questions I ask is "Have you ever cheated on a partner have you ever hit a female. The answer and explanation let me know your character and determine if I continue to talk to you. But if I find out later that you weren't honest, it's over.

    • @HH-gv8mx
      @HH-gv8mx 2 місяці тому

      I would want to know the answers to these questions as well now that I am back in the dating world and in my late 40s I don’t want to waste time with arrested developed men. however, I don’t think that these men would be honest with you that they ever hit a woman. And I have been in two serious long-term relationships, or both men became physically abusive, breaking bones and breaking my teeth, but you would never have guessed that in 1 million years they were this type of person. Both very charismatic, very sweet and very handsome, but with a lot of secrets and a lot of women in their DMs.

    • @greenvortex7

      Not true. I agree with Alyssa. You never know why someone cheated or what was going with them or the relationship. And people always grow.
      I have personally seen this in others and as well as myself things I did in 20s I no longer did in my 30s or thereafter once learning more about my own issues.
      For each person it is theor own journey.
      And the same when I was cheated on in my 30s we had discussing surrounding it and worked on the relationship ..but this person continued so I dosaolved it.
      But to this day now we are the best of friends and have great communication as friends and this oerson has now been in committed relationship for many years now.
      Not everything is so Black and White ...we as humans are nuanced and forgiveness and understanding can be more important than ego.

    • @johnmoon6200
      @johnmoon6200 2 місяці тому +4

      @@greenvortex7 the problem with the cheating is there’s no excuse for it whatsoever just tell the person what problems you have with them believe me it will cause less pain to be up front than the person to find out their significant other is cheating which causes more pain.

    • @greenvortex7
      @greenvortex7 2 місяці тому

      @@johnmoon6200 easier said than done for people in their 20s when still discovering themselves. Yes we hope for the ideal and best in a relationship but life does not work out that way. It also hits differently if one is in their 50s , the hurt may be the same but one also expects older to have discussions.
      Again, I have been on both sides of the issue and was forgiven by my partner so when happened to me many years later I also gave some grace and understanding to my then partner.
      To say there is never an excuse is I think not giving any room for understanding.
      Again we all hope for an ideal but life does not afford such things and we continue and grow and carry on with understanding for ourselves and others in which entangle ourselves.

    I do not think past matters as I have seen people who cheated harder than a pimp and find someone who they really loved and actually stood by them and then I've seen people who have never cheated go out and cheat. It's really about the circumstances. My husband never had a real relationship before he met me and I was the opposite. We are each other's longest relationships. And any problems we came across we communicated and cried and were almost divorced but we worked through it and we had to go through the pain and hurt with each other to come together and realize we were meant to be together. It's not for everyone but relationships take work and I'm glad we worked on ours and got to the root of our issues because I know I found my soulmate

They’ve learned from a mistake that’s what they’re supposed to do but if they’re not willing to talk to you about it if they’re too ashamed to even discuss it or admit, they did it they haven’t learned and they’re likely to do it again.

      @@lordsugar4820 That may be so. And I completely understand what you’re saying. If you’re in relationship with someone and they cheat, the respect you had is no replaced by fear and uncertainty and hurt because of what they did.
      But it doesn’t mean that they will ever cheat again. Nor does it mean that they won’t continue to cheat.
      People can and often do change. And because of that fact, the saying “Once a Cheater Always a Cheater” isn’t true.
      But if they made a choice to cheat, they have to deal with the fall out - and that includes the assumption that they may cheat again - even if they no longer do.

    Sarah dating Joy, keep it coming. And Sunny catches them and threatens to tell their husbands but Alyssa thinks they should stay out of it, so now what, then Whoopi suggests to vote on it because she's in such a voting mode that she has to vote on something already before November or she'll turn black, that would be a change.

    I would not do that. If someone cheated on me either another person and ended up either that person she would be careful that once a cheater always a cheater.

    I always say list the pros and cons. Do the pros out weigh the cons then push through and work it out. But if the cons out weigh the pros, then maybe your better off without that other person, whether it be female or male. The saying it's my cross to bare, only applies to that person, whoever it may be who wants to struggle and not have a healthy relationship. My opinion not everyone will think the same.

    Personally, I hate these Reddit topic bits and it makes me discredit the panel when they switch to petty things like this. These aren’t even real life topics. They’re situations ripped off from a forum website where people of any age and path can post anything anonymously.

    OMG ... a cheater is simple a stupid label assigned by those to stereotype an individual without context to the situation (pattern of frequency, contributing factors, etc). The premise leads to stupid and catty comments. Nobody "owns" anyone so IF a relationship is worth working through a problem, then the chance of a more enduring relationship can be forged.
