I'm torn between the Audient and The Volt also. I'm just a rapper using vocals with no instruments but making production (beats) occasionally. So focus is realllly on vocals. I'm wondering which. Gut says Volt, Everyone else says Audient lol. Gut also kinda says Audient also 😅😅

    • @homestudioacademy

I would be torn between the Volt and the Audient as well because I trust both companies (even though I am a Universal Audio user). My advice would be to buy both, test them out, keep one and return the other. I think that way you’ll be able to hear what your mic set up will sound like with both and then make a decision. Also, ask yourself which feature is most important to you (the Audio loop back or the build in compressor). The preamps on both are known to sound great.

Im just a rapper also, my producer suggested the Volt. So, I purchased the volt 276..Its best for the vocals with the compressors and vintage modes. Makes it easier for the mix and masters, the producer has to work less adjusting your vocals.

I have the volt 276 and with Dynamics like the sm7B or the Blue Sona I have had nothing but a negative experience with it due to room noise and I'm in a very well treated room. Now with my condenser mics I absolutely love it.

@@Nasterbator oh wow. Do you use a cloudlifter with your Shure SM7B? This would bring down the gain required to power it and as result should decrease the noise floor. I’ve heard many people say that they need to crank up the gain all the way up to get a good signal out of it which introduces noise.

Both great choices! I use interfaces from both companies so I like the sound of both.
It really depends on your needs and what you care about most.
If you want extremely clean preamps, the ability to expand channels later on and you think the id software will be helpful, then go with the Audient id14.

Very generic video. No real information here other than reading the product spec, and saying choose this interface if you want this spec. Other reviews say taht the volt compressor can be replicated with a plugin so its not really a reason to choose it over the others, especially since the SSL and ID preampes are better and hte volt has volume issues on the headphones. So pretty bad advice. I don't think you care what people buy as long as they use your affiliate link.
