I love mine. I have 3 of them because I never want to be without it. You are using it backwards. I’ve used this for about 7 yrs and my curl hold for days. You need to start further up the hair shaft and the barrel will pick up the hair much easier. My hair is as long as yours and it takes me less than 10 minutes to do my whole head. I think if you had given it a few more tries you would have found it easier.
