I’m seeing so many young women traveling around alone while living in their vehicle. I can’t help but wonder about their safety. I also can’t help but admire their tenacity. Maybe because I’m a mom and grandmother I worry!

Don’t believe what you see online. There is one UA-camr who claimed to live far away in a cabin alone. She was later exposed - it seems she parked her RV at the edge of the property owned by her parents and within walking distance of her parents house! But she lied that she was living in the mountains alone. Real van dwellers never broadcast their lives.

I used to absolutely love the sound of rain hitting the tin roof of my Grandparent's house and it's similar in a mobile home. Something very relaxing about it and the weather cooling off during summer rain storms was always welcoming. :)

Alyssa, new weather stripping around your doors should stop the leaks. Make sure the ones that are there now are seated properly and not dirty, that will also help.
I've had a door leak like this after trying to get into my car after locking the keys inside. The door was bent just enough to let water in.

Enjoy being young traveling! I’ve been binge watching single people solo van life trips and I can honestly say that I want to go on an excursion as well. I have four beautiful children and a husband and they all drive me nuts! I don’t have a life because of them! Enjoy being alone! It’s not bad at all. ❤
Maybe your weather strip is bad on your back door or maybe your back wasn't shout all the way

Alyssa this little vans are my favorite . If they have a fault it's the weep holes at the bottom of the doors and the window seals I installed a larger alternator on the van and got more amperage which helped a lot with keeping the battery in top shape . I'm sorry for my rant but these are things I helped my own daughters with We live in Ohio and weather here takes a toll on vehicles . I love your channel and wanted to be a part of you're growing your channel 😘

My van is a 2000 Roadtrek 170. I’m an introverted loner homebody night owl that loves stormy weather. Cozy Rainy days in my van are awesome to me. I pay attention to the weather. If its going to be really bad, I’ll make my way to a motel, hotel or Walmart. Walmart is my safe haven. 🙂
I have solar panels and generators. I also have a grill and camp cook set. I’m prepared to be completely off grid.

This was one of your great videos so far, Alyssa. Love the sounds of the storm on your rooftop. The exciting storm shots and your awesome new solar power system were great. Loved the music choices during the cooking scenes. Dehydrated backpack food is so expensive, or I'd have one every day. The candles nearby scared me a little. haha. And the editing in your closing scene was so well done to the music.
Yes those backpacking meals are seriously expensive! Thank goodness I got some as gifts lol

I used to live in a caravan and super enjoyed bad weather, the rougher the better.

Mine started @10 as well... but were initially from a major head concussion..I was 9 & fell 17 feet.
@@emilianarodriguez5451 Awww sorry to hear that. I don't know what caused mine but I always thought maybe I inherited it since both of my parents had 'em when they were younger. They got worse in my teens especially when I was in college and found out I have a "classic migraine" where usually there are warning signs like I have blind spots and see these glaring/flashing lights 15-20 minutes before the pain hits so I usually take Arcoxa 120mg. A bottle of beer helps too LOL
My migraines get better though as I get older. I no longer experience them as frequent as I did when I was in my teens to my early 20s. Hope yours get better too. 💜
Try an antihistamine next time... If it helps try to pinpoint what you ate that caused it fit sometimes it can be something days before.
I struggle with them too and I found out mine is from food sensitivities like certain preservatives and even something that happens with meat like chicken if it's been in the fridge for more than 24 hours after it's cooked..... it gets something and it called TYRAMINE
and that is my cryptonite STILL.
A lot of my preservative sensitivities got better when I quit taking birth control pills. I couldn't believe that they'd never put 2 and 2 together. And I couldn't take the medications for migrains because it made my body mimic a stroke.
I had to figure out of my own. 💜 Good luck everybody

@@sunsetlyrics I have had a very similar experience with migraine as yours except they didn't really improve much with age.
I think I just figured out how to recognize the aura or warning signs and medicate before I end up curled up on the bathroom floor and vomiting.
It certainly seems to run in my family.
Recently I've read research that it can be inherited and certain kinds of migraines are linked to an over production of RAMP1 protein. I think there's a new medicine out that helps reduce production of RAMP1.
You can take it as you feel the migraine coming on and not every day.
I always get an "into the wild" vibe when I watch your vids, love it.

Haha. I was in that storm, it only lasted 40-45 minutes. I was on a 4 wheeler and had to put up a tarp to hide under. It rained for 20 minutes then turned to hail for 20 or so minutes, then it stoped and the sun came out. Got to love AZ monsoon season. But hey be careful, last year or the year before like 30 people died when they were in a mountain stream playing in the water. It wasnt raining or storming anywhere near them but this big title wave came from like 30 miles away with no warning. Scary scary stuff. Dont know why your vids keep coming up on my auto play but its cool, were enjoying them.

Also easy fix on the solar usb situation. Just buy a usb hub. Connect it to the power bank and boom you have more USB ports plus the other one from the power bank.

You probably had a sinus pressure migraine due to the rain. Before it rains (if you know it's coming), take a Claritin Decongestant--from the pharmacy--no prescription needed. The Decongestant helps as an anti-inflammatory--releasing pressure. I assure you that will help with those weather caused migraines. Also earplugs at night.

You go girl! I lived in a van from 06 til 16 now have a 26ft RV. But at's has it's downside also, I loved my van life. Miss just getting up and Go! This is like a oversized backpack. And maintaining, has very expensive. Very. Btw my van leaked also. But you where in one heck of a storm. May have come in thru the trim taillights. Tightening things up are constant. But you got this!! ✌️ & Joy to you.. always go with your gut! Don't be afraid to be rude, if someone's not respectful of your personal space. Lock&load ready to roll. 👍

Hello young lady. Just found your page. Why it popped up, I have no idea. Anyway yesterday on the news they was talking about how many heath issues people are getting eating ramen noodles or any type of prepackage noodles the news story was saying. So Please find another food. They are very high in salt. I end up on 6 high blood pressure meds because of my love for ramen noodles. Two of them was for migraine. Only had one in the last 6 months. They said that those noodles is even worst for women. Please next time you are in town, get you a box of B.C. Powder. You can get them at Walmart is cheaper and Walgreen. Don't take them unless that nasty migraine comes back. First sign of it take the B.C. Within 15 minutes, you will be your self again. I look forward and keeping up with your journey. I love the van. Great choice. Those van are a beast. The engine will last for over 400,000 miles. Have fun on your journey. God Bless.

Now that's beautiful out in the mountains just be careful what kind of food you have in your car like tuna fish things like that the Bears I've had visitors on my windows because of tuna so it depends on what kind of food you have if you have an extra tent or a piece of plastic you can actually put it outside away from the car Marina ice chest away from the car it works

I’ve had some bad experiences with hail - I always park indoors! Hail can do some unexpected damage to your vehicle.
