Loving the Stonewall Attack course so far. Blockade the center, develop and then step on the gas. I love the variety of the games too. Smashing through with the g pawn, rook lifts, tactics with the light bishop, also learning to use doubled pawns in the center, the list goes on. I already have had some really nice games.

5:21 Wow! Black has Bh2+, saving the bishop.

Thank you for the upload. Could you please explain more of the middle game plans in the Stonewall Attack as you're commentating? It would be nice to know when to try to push for e4, when to play on both sides of the board, when to keep the position locked, what to do against a fianchetto setup on the kingside of Black, and so on.

you are correct and I very much like your teachings, having a plan, is best. Just to make sure the idea, though not in granite, flexible. Very nice

I find your statement about the earlier climb, harder, it seems that way, for many and I find myself in this boat. You climb to 1470, then plummet to 1370 or so. Thinking you have gain knowledge, but then get humbled. As you stated, that was or is chess

I think players from 1200-1300's are experienced players that suffered stagnation for a very long period, while 1400-1500's are more gifted player with way less experience. During a very good streak of two days I managed to reach 1500 from 1350. There is no way I spent less than months trying to reach 1350 from 1200.
Also there is a slim chance some players are cheating more at low levels. Sometimes it's surprising how good a 1200 can defend a seamingly lost position.

that first game, your opponent made huge blunders, not taking the knight with the queen for then he had the rook. You would have lost. Lot of pot holes in this from first view.

Yes, goes to show what it takes to win at this level. The opening can take to a good position, but then the actual fight begins 😎💪
