Thank you for highlighting some of the affordable grow light options. When I was first getting started, I was intimidated by the high end grow light options. You were one of the first individuals I encountered that suggested Sansi bulbs. Thank you for talking about them and sharing your experience with them 💚
Wow, can I just say that you just answered so many questions that I have had lately! I have been following you on TikTok for quite some time now and did not realize you had a UA-cam channel as well. Thank you for all of your content. Love love love ❤ 🌱
Thanks for showing all the different grow light FC readings!!! I have almost all the ones you showed and I wondered about the bar ones I got first last year. Not great FC! So helpful though!!!
I really like your video with grow lights. Found it helpful. I have E windows, a small S, and W windows that at a lot of times temperature is in 40f. I too have the 25W grow lights and love them. Where do you purchase your grow lights?
I ordered that same light meter and won’t get here till November 4th 😢, but at least it’s on the way! I only follow you and appreciate all your advice! I’ve seen amazing growth and happy plants with your methods! Thank you!! Question: do you recommend anything that is available in Washington state for fungus gnats? We can’t get the drops shipped here 🙄😭
Thanks so much for being here! I'm so happy your plants are thriving. You can also use mosquito dunks/bits. You should be able to find them there! It's the same active ingredient as the drops.
It hadn't done anything for quite a while but I moved it from under grow lights (it was too close and was stressed out) to a south window and now it's pushing new growth
I’ve gotten rid of all of my plant lights that have built-in timers because you can’t connect them to smart plugs. It won’t allow them to turn on with the smart plug once the plug is off it won’t turn back on unless you push the button so I’ve had to get rid of all of those because the smart plugs are so much better when you have a lot of lights you want to plug in, and be able to control from my phone.
Hello! I’m planing on getting some lights for my plants that are not going to be in the window (south facing window) I have one right now but I already know that it’s going to be in use when i start my starters for my veggies for this next summer. Should I just set it up for them now and put the plants where the veg starters will be? I can’t afford to get a light meter or really bigger grow lights 😂 I’m planning on getting the ones you have linked with the codes but other then that I have a OLD grow light and I have NO idea what it is 😂 any tips would be very helpful! Thanks! *edit I also live in the Midwest in Iowa maybe that could help 😂
@@houseplusplant I am looking at getting a plant humidifier, and a grow box, along with grow light for some of my other plants, maybe I should just get a house with lots of natural light 😂😂
I would never take my plants outside - ever! There are thrips, mealy bugs, mites and wood eating bugs, earwigs, spiders, snails, centipedes, millipedes, etc. etc. etc. Expensive grow lights are totally not necessary. Home Depot carries great LED "full spectrum daylight" bulbs. They work great!
@@rebeccahenderson7761 oh, no. I never said I don’t get bugs. Are spiders bugs? Lol I get spiders, I just don’t consider them pests. I’ve gotten a praying mantis on my Monstera, and I’ve just let it hang out there for the summer. I don’t consider that a pest either. I’ve never had thrips, mealies, spider, mites, etc. never any pests.
@@avamarshall1209 Your 100% lack of predatory pests is interesting - never heard anyone say that before. But I have potted plants outside and they have centipedes, millipedes, snails, rolly-pollies, wood eating bugs, 'earwigs', etc. that I don't want to bring inside, it's not just the predatory kinds.
It of course depends where you live. We don't get many bugs, but I also take measures to make sure I don't bring them inside. The growth my plants experience in the summer outdoors is 100% worth any risk. There are so many beneficial insects that help protect my plants against any "pests." For example I regularly see lady bugs and lacewings around my plants, which helps with any mealybugs, spider mites etc. Definitely do what you're comfortable with, but if you've never tried it, don't knock it ;) Also, the grow lights I use are not expensive (imo) and they are definitely more effective for my plants than the LED bulbs you mentioned - i've tested them with my light meter.
I am so distracted with your hands, you seem very nervous, try not to use them so much in your videos. Otherwise, the content is very intersting and aesthetically pleasing

I'm so happy you're loving them! I love a good budget option as well -- i'm also intimidated by the big commercial looking lights!
love your plants and the setups, have to prepare my planta for winter too

Just bought the grow light! Can’t wait!!
Super helpful!! Thank you! I was questioning fertilizer this winter
Very informative. Subscribed.
I ordered a shower caddy from your Amazon list and absolutely love it!!!! Great video!
Awesome! Thank you!
Love the vidros. Thanks for sharing all the grow light info.
Thanks!

Yes! It's so important to have a light meter so you know

How’s your mint monstera?! I got one about the size of yours when you got yours and I’m so curious to know how it’s doing

I would have it for the plants that need it now for sure!
How do you feel about grow bulbs in ceiling fixtures? Are they just too far away to have any impact?
Yes they’d be too far away unfortunately!
I want those BTI drops you’ve showed for fungus gnats so badly. But that product is banned in Canada, you can’t even get it here 😢
I have no idea why it would be banned, it's just a bacteria! Such a bummer.
We have a heat pump unfortunately, and I lost a few plants, so would a plant humidifier be beneficial or moving them away?
You could add a humidifier but it's not 100% necessary! Just make sure they get enough light and they'll be ok

whaat the heck is a footcandle, I just noticed the USA uses such weird unit xD

I take mine out every summer, always have. And I have never, ever, ever had any type of pest on any of my plants. Inside or outside.
@@avamarshall1209 You are the 1st person ever to never get bugs on an outdoor plant, lol!!

this comment was unnecessary. some people talk with their hands.. this was not a comment that needed to be posted. lol
Out of all that info that’s what you took away? Wow. I am grateful for her and her knowledge.
She never meet a Cuban before because we talk more with our hands lol 😂
