Sadly I never had any Dinky models in my childhood.. I had many Matchbox ,Hot Wheels and Corgis though..
Great job recovering from drill though. I hate when I drill though the casting.

Lovely restoration Danny, Oops drilling the post, did that with a corgi jag the other week but only a pin hole and I didn’t notice, when I glued the rivets in the glue dribbled through onto the paint and stuck my finger to it and I had to strip it all again🤦🏻♂️

Lovely job Danny.👍 It would be nice to see this one side-by-side with the Capri, just to see the differences. Interesting rear suspension on this one; haven't seen that style before. Is there nothing at all on the front? One thing I noticed; are the tyres maybe a wee bit on the large side; doesn't look like it would steer too well?

They may be for Dinky, but some of the Consuls had treaded tires. I have been waiting 100 million years for my latest back order of spare parts to arrive.
