Best 1/4 mile so far has been 11.22 @ 134.34 mph . Having some traction issues still but will eventually get her to hook like she should

As boat anchor as those things felt and looked while building and installing them they sure ran good. "Iron Men Don't Wear Bow Ties." Hot Rod mag spring 83, "390 To Go" and the rear valance on my race cars.
Was the Starliner the model with the expanded windshield that came up and back on the roof? My grandfather had one. I always thought that car was so futuristic.
The Falcons were pretty sweet looking too. Not to mention the Torino's, Rancheros. Everybody always thinks Mustang but Ford produced some of the best looking cars we've ever seen.
This takes a professional driver to pull those times off. Watch at the end of the track on his last pass how the car is wanting to get squirrelly at the worse possible moment. To stay on it during that is incredible. Great car, great driver. Love SEGA!!!

The SOHC was so bad ass that NASCAR banned it because they knew it would have destroyed your precious 426 hemi had they let it run. David Pearson won his fair share of races though against the hemi in a 427 powered Ford.

The Cammer humbled Chrysler until it was no longer supported in 70/71, 64 T-bolts ruled, Ford had more stock car wins from 60-70 than anyone, Ford went to LeMans and stomped the world 4 yrs in a row, decimated Chrysler in SCCA racing, the 351C was the most handicapped engine in drag racing with Dyno Don and Bob Glidden blowing everyone away, and to this day the Coyote is the ONLY factory sealed engine (with supporting mods) that's gone 7s in a quarter and the standing mile record has been held by three different Ford GTs since 2011 with the current record @ 300.4 mph with a(modded) factory cast block and heads 5.4l.
First off, what a blast to watch this car get down the track. Thank you! It so reminds me of the A/FX funny cars of the mid 60's. The big jump at the launch and the wheel hops going through the gears, even the engine sound of a Hilborn injected 427 and the 8k gear shifts. 34 dislikes, WTH???

I heard that! I was a regular at Tri-City Dragway in Saginaw/Bay City the 70's. We has some seriously badass cars there. Don Garlits, Connie Kalitta, Shirley Muldowney, Hemi Under Glass. Don Prudhomme, really, I can't even remember them all. We used to walk right into the pits and get that Nitro exhaust right in our faces. Amazing to see this old Gasser. Fantastic car!
Sweet, I have watched this car run with the Southest Gassers many times on UA-cam, but this is the first time I've noticed the red paint almost has a red tinted chrome effect. Very nice.
I kept waiting for him to hold it full throttle all the way down and he still lifted early on the 9.05 pass . 138 mph is mid nines so it has more mph than that if he stays in it all the way through . I expect it could run 150mph and 8.90' E.T.'s , sweet car
Got to see this beast at Byron a couple times. Very nice build and choice of engine can't be beat! Love the dropped n drilled front axle, such a perfect period look. Hope to see you this summer!
9.05 I believe was the last 1/4 time. That's very shocking to me. Usually takes a muscle car on big tires to get below 10 seconds. Obviously the set up on this machine is working very well. Great work all around dude. Even the driving. You make it look easy.
That 'Cammer' slings that big buggy down the 1320 like it was a Go-Kart! lol. Something about the SOHC that no other engine can match up with. Very nice car, thanks for sharing it with all of us.

Great car. Brings back my high school days. I had a 56 victoria fairlane, blue and white , 400hp. / 312 y block. built it to hot for the street back then but had many fun times a quarter mile at a time.

My favorite engine ! hard to explain but they seem to have a soul. the sound, low down grunt and the look of them... 239, 256, 272, 292.312... 1954 to 1964.

The idle had to be really high to keep the plugs from loading up. Plus the initial timing had to be up there and they wouldn't idle low because of fouling. The lopey idle could be done, just not at the track. Just an FYI. R45 were expensive even then.
9.05 @ 138.5, yeah that SOHC is doing it's job,love it!♡ In '71 my friend had a '58 Fairlane custom 300. It had a 428 w/ 3 duces,C6, 4.57 rears & 9 or 10" slicks,can't remember. It was his daily driver,raced it on weekends. It ran in the 12's. He eventually built a FE 454 & put it in,it ran low 11's to high 10's!
Love that " Fear starts with FE" have built a few of those torque monsters. I had a 67 Ford Fairlane GTA that had a 428cj that had a solid lifter cam, roller rockers, domed 12.5 to 1, heads shaved made 650rwhp/700ft/lbs of torque.

Nice blown hemi, but the Skarlaine Cammer was faster (no blower needed) ! Very brave driver in the '55 Ford, looked really squirrelly at the top end !

Faster than anything I have ever owned and a beautiful car but he is scrubbing MPH and ET without some suspension tuning. Again....an A+ ride.
