All jokes aside, this song is brilliant. Olly begins with the standard villain spiel; "You shall be no more, resistance is futile, etc.", even hinting at his motivations with "The hubris of paper leads only to perdition". However, Olly is soon interrupted by another villain: Bowser. After the initial barrage of insults, Bowser comments on how the atrocities Olly has commited are WAY too far, even for a fellow final boss. Olly berates Bowser for his short-sightedness (which is, honestly, quite true) and quickly diverts the conversation to his pet and current boss: The Fanged Fastener itself, Stapler. And here's my favorite part of the song; Juno manages to convey a slightly obsessed, mad king extolling the virtues of his pet, only thing is, these virtues are exclusively its birthright and tricks it can do to please him, evidenced by its most impressive trick being hailing the Origami King. Bowser is quick on the retort, commenting on Olly's last-ditch effort being siccing his dog on Mario. Also, the rhythm of the bounce and trounce lines is relevant for later, but for now, they are simply a means of expressing Mario's capability of laying a smackdown, and are followed up with Bowser validating his claims using his experience with the Pesky Plumber, Mario. Olly, ironically, comments on Bowser talking too much and then proceeds to taunt the Koopa King by stating that he has not only claimed his beloved army, he has also won because of that. Then the chorus kicks in. With every sentence beginning with "Soon", a catchy and memorable rhythm is established, alongside of the perfect mixture of villanous boasting, demoralization and motivation-showing. The latter seems as if it is unintentional and derived from the Origami King''s hate at that moment in time. He also hints at the Stapler being the thing that is holding most of Olly's army together, and taunts Mario with the mention of Peach. The spoken word segment has Olly reassuring his dog, Bowser insulting Olly and Olly stating that their resistance is futile. We also get to hear the woofs from the totally legit version, a fun nod and a nice detail. Then, a bombshell drops: Olly tells the Stapler to "Sic them". It can be inferred that, originally, Olly wanted Mario and Bowser to be folded soldiers, but now, Olly just wants them dead. In the second verse, Olly insists that the gang will be stopped, bound and reshaped into their puppets, and then again pokes at Mario's wounds with the mention of Peach. Bowser tells Olly to shut up, and proclaims that his nemesis is too strong to submit. Bowser, filled with paternal rage, states that Olly was responsible for Junior being cut up, clearly crossing a line. The Koopa King also puts his faith in his nemesis, and proceeds to extoll HIS virtues to Olly, a nice bit of contrast and characterization. Bowser does not seems begrudging, he, in fact, seems proud of his rival. He laments about how he has taken Mario's punishment for many games, compliments Mario's determination, foreshadows the fate of Stapler, calls out the game's pretty dramatic plot and uses "hail the Origami King" in a way that reinforces Mario's might. And to add to the pile of contrasts, Olly notes that the party underestimates Stapler' power, and repurposes the rhythm from Bowser's "trounce and bounce" line to agrandize the Stapler. He also talks about how his vision (another not-so-subtle motivation hint) will not be impeded. The chorus drops, alongside Juno's art that makes me angry I do not have enough devices to have the entire LoS as wallpapers for each of them. Olly sounds so calm yet dangerous in this song, especially in the chorus where every sentence starts with “soon”. It reminds me of in Harry Potter how sometimes Voldemort talks very calmly but it makes him even more dangerous. Just thought I'd make a Bowser chorus cause I like the idea of them clashing at the chorus. "Soon, we will take back the princess and restore her form. Soon, we will triumph over you in our flat paper norm, Soon, fangled shackles will fall from the beast in defeat, Soon, we will roar in triumph once you have been beat" (Optional - Have Olivia Go - "Ooooool..... lyyyyy...... Pleeease..... Ceeeeease" to counter the Stapler howl) They're pretty bad but it was the best I could think of lol.
*Woof Intensifies* Were almost near the end guys! Who's up for another New *Grand Finale* to The Origami King himself? There's only one way to defeat him! *Drops an entire "Staple" Store onto him*
imagine this actually happened in game. Olly: You can't beat me. Mario: *grabs nearby staple store* Olly: WHAT THE FOLD- Olivia and Bowser: 0_o Mario: *proceeds to use staple store as a hammer on Olly*
Olly: so what do you do ? Stapler: woof woof ( I can staple people and pin them down ) Olly: and? Stapler: bark bark ( Have u ever stapled paper 50 times straight ) Olly: OH, your hired, and you will be the family dog
@@chaosinc.382 Well, there more guard dogs or wolves than dogs, they have a more aggressive and territorial nature, making me think of wolves instead of dogs (Or police dogs/fighting dogs)
So I've recently been thinking about and here is an epic idea for this song: Instead of actually being there, Olly's singing in his throne room, just thanks to the magic of the origami castle allows his voice or image to be anywhere he desires, like having a sing battle against bowser :P
The "He will bounce you, and trounce you" part actually feels like a good old Action Command! I mean, I bop my head to that same rhythm every time I pull it off!
I love this song so much! Originaly I had no idea how this song could work but it being olly and bowser with the stapler making barking noises and even in the end whimpering is both impressive and makes one feel actually bad for breaking his jaw! What I am trying to say is that all these songs were phenomenal and I am glad that now people can't beg you anymore to do the rest of the songs.
I love to imagine how Juno is staying in front of his microphone and is making intense dog noises. The neighbours will love him! (Yeah and the song is great too)

Let me recap what Bowser has done throughout the Paper Mario series. 64: Bowser steals the Star Rod and captures the Star Spirits so his own wishes can come true. (He also stole Peach but thats nothing new) TTYD: Bowser finds scent about the Crystal Stars and sets out for Rougeport to claim them all. He later learns Peach was kidnapped by the X-nauts which Bowser assumes they're stealing his thunder so he sets out once again to rescue her. Super: Bowser and Peach have a fake wedding planned by Count Bleck but the Wedding is a complete sham. He wakes up in a Pixelated world and builds a hideout. He runs into Mario and Peach and proceed to battle. Bowser loses once again and learns Count Bleck is destroying all worlds which Bowser doesn't approve of. Reluctant but determined, he sets off with Mario to stop the Count. Sticker Star: Bowser and his minions attend the Sticker Fest when Bowser decides to touch the Sticker Comet. Enhanced by his new shiny Royal Sticker, he enchants his minions with Sticker power and proceeds to take over the Mushroom Kingdom. (In which Bowser loses yet again.🤣) Color Splash: Bowser visits Prism Island and spies the Prisma Fountain. He wants to make a rainbow shell so he jumps into the fountain and mixes the colors. He accidentally makes evil Black Paint and it possesses him into painting the world black. (He gets cleaned up and remembers nothing.) Origami King: King Olly folds the minions into his own Folded Soldiers and nearly folds Bowser but never finishes. Not only does Olly kidnap and fold Peach but takes her castle, forcing Bowser and Mario to team up once more. Bowser even shows some morality at how even he is disgusted by Olly's endgame by wiping Toads out of existence. You're right. Bowser acted less of a big bad and more of an anti hero who does what he wants.
THE STAPLER BARKING MAKES ITS GLORIOUS RETURN also ft some other dudes I guess The change of the dynamic from simply a boss's villain song to a clash between Bowser and Olly is such a brilliant take - especially with Olly's more formal villainous language to Bowser's slang and insult-flinging. The upbeat yet menacing rhythm is carried through well, especially during the low bouncy section - and even when the melody gets real fast! We've seen the art since Gun but it's still brilliant with the fancy lighting and shine effects! Also that yip, creaking and whimpers at the end were actually horrifying Juno why
Can we take a moment to appreciate the absolute amazing delivery of King Olly. That was amazing. We've already heard your Bowser voice, and it's still amazing, but I wanted to bring attention to the new voice, and it was amazing. Props to you. I feel like the wording of this was bad, eheh, but I hope you get the point.

You make it sound like we're in a cult
@Magolor UTTP ya, and King Olly with lyrics probably as a secret because I see an extra private video in that playlist. I also think the songs will be in order of how this amazing masterpiece game went
Ok, the fact that it yelped and whined when killed almost made me feel sorry for the poor dog. It was just obeying its master, it didn’t deserve this (maybe it did). Press F to pay respects

Pizza box man.
Bowser is not a pizza box... he is a wet floor sign
Whoever voiced king olly did a great job, he’s almost exactly how I’d expect him to sound
Juno: hello
Are we not going to talk about how in Paper Mario The Origami King the villain is literally a emo kid.
2:57 The new PETA parody looks great
Just thought I'd make a Bowser chorus cause I like the idea of them clashing at the chorus.
"Soon, we will take back the princess and restore her form.
Soon, we will triumph over you in our flat paper norm,
Soon, fangled shackles will fall from the beast in defeat,
Soon, we will roar in triumph once you have been beat"
(Optional - Have Olivia Go - "Ooooool..... lyyyyy...... Pleeease..... Ceeeeease" to counter the Stapler howl)
They're pretty bad but it was the best I could think of lol.
Not the best, but not the worst either.
i like it.
"Bold words for a glorified nametag."
Juno, can we talk about this?
I cackled, ngl.
Olly showed no respect in that line.
Bowser is clearly a wet floor sign.
Bowser got his revenge.... twice. The haircut did not need to be slandered like that.
@@peaceofyoshi Don’t forget ”Oversized Christmas card”

LOL!!!!!!
Apart of me really wanted to hear King Olly say
"NOOOO MY DOGGO"
At the end
Since both mario and stapler can't talk this song is a rap battle between king Olly and Bowser.
Rap battle of Kings
The Koopa King vs. The Origami King
you already made the episode twice, the lyrics were “woof bark growl x99” and “gun”
Yeah i mean bark bark
*Woof Intensifies* Were almost near the end guys! Who's up for another New *Grand Finale* to The Origami King himself?
There's only one way to defeat him! *Drops an entire "Staple" Store onto him*
Droping large objects onto people? You don't think it could be a callback, or perhaps even a refrence of sort? Maybe even, a JoJo refrence?
@@sooba9627 *STAPLEROLLER DA!!!!!*

Olly: You can't beat me.
Mario: *grabs nearby staple store*
Olly: WHAT THE FOLD-

"Bold words from a glorified name tag." I love Olly.
Ok, this is the second time this had happened, I run across a comment right as that line comes up
Olly: so what do you do ?
Stapler: woof woof ( I can staple people and pin them down )
Olly: and?
Stapler: bark bark ( Have u ever stapled paper 50 times straight )
Olly: OH, your hired, and you will be the family dog
Another sad death of a endangered stapler....
I actually really love the voice you gave for King Olly. I feel like it fits him very well considering his personality and character.
I love how this is one of the most gruesome ways mario has ever beaten someone AND IT IS FROM A STAPLER
This proves that Bowser is a cat person.
Well... yeah. Did “Meowser” slip your mind?
But he has all those ChainChomps...
Only paper bowser because normal bowser has a block dog
@@chaosinc.382 Well, there more guard dogs or wolves than dogs, they have a more aggressive and territorial nature, making me think of wolves instead of dogs (Or police dogs/fighting dogs)
So I've recently been thinking about and here is an epic idea for this song:
Instead of actually being there, Olly's singing in his throne room, just thanks to the magic of the origami castle allows his voice or image to be anywhere he desires, like having a sing battle against bowser :P
Just realized that the last two members use rock instruments, and they’re made of metal
oh my god.
also, the ROCK instruments are used by the SCISSORS, in a PAPER Mario game.
"woof woof woof woof woof"
"Wait, that's not how it goes?"
*I can't describe how perfect of a description that is.*
(Yeah and the song is great too)
Also impresive making olly and bowser sing this because Mario and stapler can’t talk
Stapler can't talk but Mario is forced to be silent.
@@FBEAR05 yeah I head cannon that when ever a adventure is coming, Mario is silent and everyone pretends he has a sour throut hoping that nothing bad is gonna happen.
@@edentague8141 to be fair, even if we don't hear his voice,in this game he talks to olivia and other characters sometimes,so I don't think he is forced to shut up or has a sore throat,he just isn't that guy who always has something to say(this is my headcanon to justify the fact that the devs don't want to give him a stupid text box and so they even removed his voice meanwhile everybody talks lol)
There is something oddly symbolic about “Never hail the origami king”.
Olly sounds exactly how I imagined him.
I just love it when Mario breaks the stapler and the stapler makes a cute dog noise
Okay, but the glorified name tag roast was the best roast I've heard in a looooooong time.
God I feel bad for the Stapler, Mario broke its jaw when it was just following its owner's orders :(
It was a dangerous creature and had to be put down... Unfortunately.
@@kauedasilva1072 but... WHYYYYYYYYYYY!!! He could’ve been retrained, right? As in not to kill everyone?

now all we need is the *True Bad Time Trio,* Yape, Dog-Stapler, and G U N .
We'll call it *YAPE-LER GUN.*

love how olly and bowser are arguing and staple and mario just fight like they don't hear olly 'n bowser.

I was expecting Olly to be the one singing, good choice Juno
Once again yet another excellent song, I'm definitely looking forward to the album's release :D
As much as I want to sing along, I can't get the gun lyrics out of my head.
Huh. I actually wasn't expecting this.
King Olly: So why do you wanna work here?
Stapler: **Dog noises**
King Olly: You’re hired!

never in my life have i been so thrilled and accomplished to snap a stapler dog's jaw backwards, i think this music brought something out of me. it goes hard in short. oh also, what's a good stapler pun.....i love how bowser, the staple bad guy of the series, is becoming less and less evil with each instalment
Let me recap what Bowser has done throughout the Paper Mario series.
64: Bowser steals the Star Rod and captures the Star Spirits so his own wishes can come true. (He also stole Peach but thats nothing new)
TTYD: Bowser finds scent about the Crystal Stars and sets out for Rougeport to claim them all.
(In which Bowser loses yet again.🤣)
Color Splash: Bowser visits Prism Island and spies the Prisma Fountain. He wants to make a rainbow shell so he jumps into the fountain and mixes the colors. He accidentally makes evil Black Paint and it possesses him into painting the world black. (He gets cleaned up and remembers nothing.)
Origami King: King Olly folds the minions into his own Folded Soldiers and nearly folds Bowser but never finishes.
We have a new *staple* villain now.

The change of the dynamic from simply a boss's villain song to a clash between Bowser and Olly is such a brilliant take - especially with Olly's more formal villainous language to Bowser's slang and insult-flinging.
Patience is virtue. We have gotten the best Stapler song from our lord and savior, Juno.
Can we take a moment to appreciate the absolute amazing delivery of King Olly. That was amazing.
We've already heard your Bowser voice, and it's still amazing, but I wanted to bring attention to the new voice, and it was amazing. Props to you.
I feel like the wording of this was bad, eheh, but I hope you get the point.
it was the 60s, Mario didn't know better
I like how he had to mispronounce the word ‘fanged’ to make it fit in the chorus.
the same technique is actually used in a lot of shakespeare's plays! it's pretty neat, although i'm not sure if it's necessarily a mispronunciation

I'm literally imaging Olly asking stapler WHO IS A GOOD BOI EH? WHO IS A GOOD BOI? IT'S YOU MY LITTLE STATIONARY OBJECT!
I would love it if people made mods for games like these where it's just when the characters aren't being used in-game, like when the person saves the game and goes on a break the characters come to life and all that, like toy story, but for a game, and after "Killing" Stapler which was just special effects and acting, Olly would actually do that showing his soft spot and even give them a treat for its excellent acting
I used to sing this and Handaconda religiously- I’m not the only one right?????
I'm now permanently referring to Olly as "the purple drama queen"
