The singers back then were undeniably talented, their voices carrying emotions that touched the deepest parts of our souls. Each note, each lyric, was infused with passion and meaning, leaving an indelible mark on those who listened. As I immerse myself in the melodies of that era, I can't help but feel a sense of nostalgia and longing. There's a certain warmth and comfort that comes from listening to that genre of music, a feeling of being transported to a simpler time. But amidst the nostalgia, there's also a hint of concern for the future of this beloved genre. Will the music that I cherish so deeply disappear in the next generation? Will the soulful melodies and powerful voices be replaced by something less authentic? I can only hope that this kind of music will continue to resonate with future generations, that its timeless appeal will endure the test of time. Perhaps, with a newfound appreciation for the classics, the next generation will embrace and preserve the beauty of this genre for years to come. WHO'S STILL HERE - YEAR 2024 ❤
Britney can actually sing and very well too, If you listen to her debut before the full baby voice she had so much soul and runs and vibrato she sounded amazing 😊No hate btw just saying
Man, I crushed so bad for Debbie Gibson. I'm a metal-head, so my friends gave me endless grief over it. Had her poster up right next to Maiden and Priest and didn't care.
A friend of mine and I bought one of her posters (i think she was wearing black) at the record store and put it up on our walls. Our folks were thrilled we actually had a girl up there instead of guys who looked like girls 😂😂😂
This performance is amazing. Yes, she didn't quite hit the note on the last "found" but this whole thing is live and real. No CD playing to mime to, real band, real vocals. You got your money's worth at a Debbie Gibson show.
Debbie was majorly kick ass at the time she sang this live. And all but 19! Yeah, sure Adele did it too at the same age, but Debbie was already a huge success as a singer, instrumentalist, songwriter, performer and recording artist with at least three chart hits at 16!! I think she currently holds that record to this day. Add to that, she's a true talent, and naturally super, super CUTE!
+MARK ANDRADA Yep, and she did it all without selling out by dressing like a slut. We loved her for her talent as a songwriter & performer. She is singing along to a studio sound track, The audio engineer synchronizes the studio recording with what she is doing on stage and tunes out background noise by having her microphone off. If you will notice it is not 'live" as there is absolutely no background noise. if you''ll notice the other musicians (ie....drummer) is not isolated. @@kdeh21803 Dude, the video you linked to is like 33 years later. Of course, it's going to be different. She is NOT singing the studio version in this video, however. Her phrasing and timing are completely different. C'mon, man. Do better.
@@chazcov08 I guess your comments come from years of micing concerts and going into studios to mic concerts that are then played at the venue..... Sorry for the professional opinion.... I'll do better next time.
@@kdeh21803 First off, explain why you want to compare videos that are 33 years apart. It's ridiculous to begin with. Second, my opinion is based on attending hundreds of concerts and photographing dozens of acts from Berlin to Katrina and the Waves to Human League to Kool and the Gang to Richard Marx to dozens others. I also sang with several bands and know about live performances vs. lip syncing. I've considered your arguments for this being a lip sync with a studio track and I don't accept them. As I stated, her phrasing and inflections are exactly as you see them in the video, and this doesn't even match up with the studio track. Are you trying to say that she pre-recorded this in the studio and she's lip syncing? Because this definitely isn't the version on the record. Why would she need to do this anyway? She has been performing live since her teens, so there is no reason to "fake" this performance. There is absolutely NOTHING about this that makes me think it's not a live performance. I'll be seeing her next month when I shoot her show, so I'll ask her about this one just for you.
