- This is the Marvel comics commercial of G.I.Joe issue #30. For the past 15 years, I have only seen posted on the net a clip with a lot of digital artifacts and poor sound. I happened upon a better quality clip and I wanted to share it with the youtube G.I.Joe fans!
I believe this was actually made for G.I.Joe issue #35 but it may have been edited to depict issue #30 which has the plot that the animation spot coincides with.
This is the full comic commercial! These are the commercials which got me addicted to buying and collecting G.I.Joe back in the day when I was only 8 years old!
This comic commercial introduces the vicious Dreadnoks!! This issue was about the Dreadnoks trespassing on an air force base and destroying millions of dollars of fighter aircraft and creating more trouble than they can handle and that's when G.I.Joe steps onto the scene to kick 'em where the sun doesn't shine!
I don't know how many fans will agree with me but the comic commercials rivaled the actual G.I.Joe daily cartoon in terms of animation quality, story elements, music, and direction.
It is because of the initial cartoon commercials for the comics which created the demand for the daily series which was good but not as good as it could had been if it was produced along the same principles as these 30 second commercials. I fell in love with G.I.Joe with the help of these commercials. They were brilliant and still are after 25 years!

After waiting 25 years, I wish the new live action movie would live up to the exciting standards set by this groundbreaking series! Instead, the new G.I.Joe "Rise of Cobra" seems to be rewriting things as they go along. So much for progress. What I have on youtube is what I feel is G.I.Joe. I hope everyone will agree!
YO JOE!!!! - Фільми й анімація
Damn in this this Zartan's crew looks like a real threat.
Do you know that the 3 original Dreadnoks are literally named Tom, Dick, and Harry? Tom Winken (Torch), Dick Blinken (Buzzer), and Harry Nod (Ripper).
My first comic book
That's actualy pretty close to what happened in the issue.
I'll admit that the Dreadnoks actually did something useful. They broke into one of GI Joe's bases and wrecked a bunch of their vehicles thus increasing the chances of a Cobra victory when they attack the base.
Actually, in the story, they completely ruined the chance of surprise by blowing up the plane and then fled, leaving Cobra Commander with a mess.
The commercial takes quite a few liberties.
Ironically, the depicted scene was, in the story, a complete mess for the bad guys that was completely the Dreads' fault.
Employer: What skills do you have?
Me: I can remember the Dreadnoks theme…
G.I.JOE! (A Real American Hero) Fighting evil Cobra!
Cobra Biker Dreadnoks!
The Dreadnoks are riding the Doom Cycle that came out recently.
Yoooooooooooooooooo JOE!
Yo
Are the Dreaknoks from Alabama?
In those particular issues the Dreadnoks were based in the Florida Everglades. Later they moved to some marsh area in New Jersey. They were originally all from the UK or Australia; depending upon the character.
@@FreedomCompatriots Buzzer's from England, Ripper's from Tasmania, Torch is from Australia
@dynomitis Yeah, but give them grape soda and chocolate donuts, they'll say anything.
So 3 bikers run into an army base and wreck some stuff, thats Cobra for ya.
yeah three biker dudes with one disguise master and a bunch of tools these dreadknocks don't play
Imagine they were lilfuzzy bears. Hasbro initially wanted ewoks.
