  • Today we get an update to the scape of the Costa Rican (San Carlos River Basin) Biotope. Also, we go on an exploration to start our first resurrection jar. We'll use this to start the food web in our next build.

Haha, thank you so much! My wife made me the doormat and I’m excited to use the jar to kickstart my next biotope. The jars are fun, even my 7 year old daughter has one now in her room!

The "worm" u said that hangs around the top are actually mosquito larva.

Can we have an update on the jar ? And I think there is enough for 2 jars . And adding some live or floating plants helps to balance the water a lil.

Yeah, it’s been a fun experiment! Can’t wait to kickstart a tank with it.

Do you think that will work when its fall or cold out???

The resurrection jars? I think that in colder areas most of the microfauna will be dormant in streams/rivers but when you bring it inside and they warm up, they burst to life. At least that is my experience.
