In part two of our Songs & Stories with Heart, Ann and Nancy Wilson dish on how getting fired from a Canadian cabaret bar led to their big break, and Kelly joins them in singing "Crazy On You" and "Alone." Ann and Nancy also dish on going back on the road for their Royal Flush Tour, and Ann shares how she added her own fire to their hit song "Alone," after not liking the original demo version they heard.

Entirely agree. I was listening to this live version of 2024 Alone, there are no words, just tears, only Ann's voice has the ability to make me cry. Now at least we know Ann and her sister are back together that they know fans been waiting for years.

Quietly, Nancy could actually do it all. She hit the high harmony on Alone before Kelly did. But Ann is a legend as well.

@DJMeCa~~Indeed,when I saw Kelly for the first time on Idol when she audtioned I said to friends/family she will win~~I also said she will become famous~~My gut never lies~~I seen her in concert in 2007 and she was so funny and interacted with the audience and danced and she was just to awesome for words~~But I have to admit those days when she was wild and a bit nutty~~Which I loved about her~~She has to forget how old she is which isn't old at all and start making videos again and get a little crazy~~lol~~I simply adore her and so happy enjoying her life with those gorgeous children of hers~~Luvs and hugs to Heart and our Kelly~~💗💗💗~~
and don’t forget over the years sometimes so full of herself… I feel at times she forgets where she came from, but oh well .. that’s just my opinion

If there's ever an award for Heart where other people sing their stuff (Kennedy Center, etc like how Heart did for Led Zeppelin) Kelly should TOTALLY be the one to sing their stuff. She's one of the only people if not the only person who can come close to doing Ann's stuff justice.

In the mid-2000s, country singer Gretchen Wilson was hands-down the best artist to cover Heart songs, especially "Barracuda." Check out her performance on the 2007 MTV/VH1 Rock Honors show with Alice in Chains as the backing band (and an appearance by Nancy Wilson) and you'll be very, very impressed.
Love Nancy rocking this kick butt pink hair & pink lip. 💋 Love the rasp in Ann’s voice. These women are amazing song writers and artists.

Because if a singer constantly sings, they don’t lose their vocals, if they have a very long break from singing, the voice loosens, it’s a muscle, and then sounds like “old”
There are those certain groups in our lives, that touch us to our very SOUL. Heart is one of them for me. Kelly is amazing her own self.

Happy birthday Kelly ! You ROCK ! Great choice bringing "Heart" for your birthday celebration ! They were the first female band back in the 70's that kicked ass ! They paved the way for all those that followed. All of today's girl bands owe these gals so much for all they had to put up with back in the day. Was a young US NAVY sailor in the 80s and stationed in San Diego. Lucky enough to be inport and finally got to see Heart back to back on their back to back huge albums Heart and Bad Animals respective tours. Awesome times.
That run on crazy at 4:48😮😅👏👏! Kelly, you’re just rude, I got full body chills with 10 seconds of singing, WTH🤯😂! Totally cried during then “Alone” harmonies! Kelly’s vocal range is absolutely bonkers, she only gotten better and more control as she’s gotten older! Keeping those vocal folds fresh!!
Thank God for Heart, two woman in a male controlled environment, Rock n Roll, who kicked down the doors for others to follow! Ann is one of the greatest vocalist ever, male or female( check out her duet with Disturbed), & Nancy is probably one of the most underrated guitarists ever! I'm so elated they are back together again! Long live heart!!!

Went along to their gig after work one evening just for the hell of it and was blown away by the experience.

To have them singing alone was truly magnificent I sang that song on karaoke in a couple of competitions on that song, and I won❤❤

Heart still sounds great, looks great and indeed, even better, because they are seasoned performers, and Ann's rasp is haunting. Kelly's voice blends beautifully with Ann. I think they should make a joint album, with Ann putting her mystical spin on some of Kelly's more emotional hits, and Kelly joining in on some of the Heart classics. Wouldn't that be something?
Still remember seeing Heart & Kansas together in the early eighties, always enjoyed their music.

I am SO SO glad the sisters are back together. I never liked it when they were apart. It makes them WHOLE again. And not just as the group Heart. But as two siblings that share the same blood. That's what's most important. Because life is just to damn short not to folks. Now onto Ann Wilson is her voice not timeless...!!! This woman has TRULY been gifted. I have been told i have a vocal gift but i am no where near what Ann is. She's just in a different class altogether. She pampers and takes care of her voice as the instrument it is. And i think in fact i know that is what has preserved it all these years. This will probably be their final tour together. So i wish them the best in spreading their music to the masses. Whether it be old fans or new. For the new fans your in for one helluva treat...!!!

I love what Nancy said about the songs imprinting on your DNA and becoming the soundtrack to your life. It’s so true. I’m 50 and I clearly remember being a young girl and hearing my Mom playing the Dreamboat Annie album. I fell in love with Heart’s music back them and still love it to this day.❤️Kelly’s voice gave me chills.
