I would love to hear the whole song acoustic. This show has some of my favorite music, but it's frustrating when the acoustic versions played during the show are interrupted with dialogue or cut short, and the full versions on itunes or youtube are typical overproduced studio versions. The singers and musicians have huge talent, but the overproduction ruins a lot of songs for me.

At some point they really have to stop sheltering her like she's a baby. She's passionate about music and she wants to do nothing more than make music. Her parents really need to let her bloosm and support her more rather than force her to be in a band with her sister. Out of all people, Raina should understand because that's what she was like growing up.

I actually think it's a smart way to make people want to keep watching the show itself or re-watch the show for the aucoustic versions.
horrorvictim I kind of think the opposite. I think most people are just going to come to UA-cam and listen to the songs rather than re-watching a whole episode. Heck, I don't even watch the show--never have--but since I love the music, particularly the instrumentals, I just watch it here.

Filmed in Skulls on Printers Alley which is actually a burlesque venue!
This may sound arrogant, which is totally not my intent; and I'll probably receive shade and that's fine, but after reading every comment, I feel compelled to reiterate that Nashville is a television show. TV shows have writers and show runners. Maddie is a fictional character and her character's persona, action, hair, makeup and wardrobe are all decided for her. I'm in the TV/film industry and ironically, Nashville was my first feature role. It was a 2-episode deal and I'm still in contact with some cast & crew. Though my scenes were w/Chip, Connie, Hayden, Ed and Marvin, I was around Lennon, Maisy and their mom and rest assured, the character "Maddie" is not who Lennon is. It's unfair to apply transference of a fictional character onto the actor who portrays them.
Remember Alan Rickman who recently passed away...he portrayed Prof. Snape in the Harry Potter series. For the first 6 books, he was the villain but was he the bad guy in real life? Nope!

Great song and fantastic voice but a lot of young people are in such a hurry to grow up too quick these days they usually end up in a lot of trouble and I think this story highlights how bad influences no matter how small can ruin things for families and this sort of thing really happens all the time not just in music either and parents really have lost control and teenagers need to learn to slow down and learn to make better choices in life for their own sakes not anyone else's

+Jenny .Lush I'm right there with you. The character of Maddie Conrad has been so intensely dis-likeable so much of the time, going back to the very beginning of the show, it almost makes me wonder what the lovely Miss Stella did to tick off the writers.

i just think teenagers are starting to become rebels. They know what they shouldnt be doing yet they do it anyway - i think thats bascially the reason for it all. If we all remember as youngsters we test the boundaries out and see if ww can get away with things. Moms are strict, Dads are usually easy going, and so, if we cant tell our Dad's and expect them to be lient then we really shouldnt lie to them! Because music is Nasvhviles promenent thing it was always going to be based on that. Maddie is so young, vulnerable... and horny blokes and manipulative people get a field day! Not cool. But it happens. I think they are going to play this out and show what its going to be like for Maddie...

I am 16 and through my asian genes (doesn't speak for all of us) I don't look as mature as she does (speaks for basically anyone not asian I look way younger than em even tho we're the same age, add in the part where I'm super short). Makes this ultra weird to watch. Like I look like I'm in gr.8 or maybe even younger.

He'd suprise me, tell me i was done and i may, or may not have time to tell people i was going, and he'd take me back home in the car. I wasnt a gobby teenager so i wouldnt answer him back. Maddie's so young and so vulnerable...
Thing is, proper places like the bluebird etc they'd gave bouncers at the door and have no time for any trouble - so doing it this particular way is a reciepe for disaster.

Just watched Episode 18, and am finding the character Maddie to be nothing but a very annoying brat in the betrayal of her mother and father. If this was real life, I would not bother listening to her amateur songs, as she could have learned to be a REAL talented country singer from the best, her mother, and all would have fallen into place at the right time, without hurting them, and whom obviously love her very much. At this time, I do not like the character Maddie, and hope she fades away.

This one is the most frustrating actress i've seen in the whole show. It's not just her character, it's how much make-up she puts. Ffs, it's disgusting, i've even started skipping the scenes with her in the episodes now, makes the show much better.
