I think they should change the way contracts are structured and keep the 65-game rule. Players should get bonus pay for getting awards, but it shouldn't be part of the player's contract. Also, it shouldn't just be about getting the award in the contract year. Lastly, all records are affected by rule changes. A perfect example is the change in how assists are given. They are more strict on assist now, but Stockton has the record from entry passes to a post player.

Availability is the best ability and those players should be able to go into negotiations and get a super max if they are showing up and performing. I think they should change the way contracts are structured and keep the 65-game rule. Players should get bonus pay for getting awards, but it shouldn't be part of the player's contract. Also, it shouldn't just be about getting the award in the contract year. Lastly, all records are affected by rule changes. A perfect example is the change in how assists are given. They are more strict on assist now, but Stockton has the record from entry passes to a post player.
