I really can't put my finger on it, but there was something extra about James's Bolero that to me gave him the edge over Wes, I have no single word for what I felt the difference was -- there was more passion, more drive, more fire, more attack -- there was just MORE. James definitely deserved the win!
‘Classy’! That’s the one word springs to my mind. There were always the smoothness and oneness in James’ dances that I found his performance so enchanting and enjoyable, not a display of one act then another, or counting on this jump and that somersault, no matter how skilful that individual action is.
I can't stop watching this Bolero is my favorite routine and James and Alexandras version gave me goosebumps just like Jayne and Chris did in 1984, they were so together and brought the passion that was breathtaking and so glad they won as Wes and Vanessas take was chaotic a complete mess. You could tell what it meant to James and specially Alexandra to perform that iconic piece in front of Ice Skating Royalty.
@@julessherwood yep totally agree ,I've saved them so can watch again n again ,totally amazing ,don't care what the haters say about James having dance background ,thy can't understand ""JAMES HAS NOT GOT SKATING BACKGROUND "" end of ,he worked damn hard ,earned his tittle ,amazingly well done to them both xx
After the first time I watched this, I tweeted to James that he should consider acting if he ever gets tired of dancing (or skating). I think he'd be a natural at that, too!
Those saying that James had an advantage because he's a trained and professional stage and dance performer, what excuse did the likes of Bonnie Langford, John Barrowman and others have for being so mediocre (at best) on ice?

Thanks for recording , James & Alex are brilliant- so beautiful to watch.
they were so brilliant brilliant dancers
Same here, I really appreciate you recording this for us. Thank you
They are very good enjoyed every minute
The Bolero by this year's winner, Nile Wilson, was excellent but James Jordan's interpretation hit the heart.
Absolutely fantastic.
And again, thanks so much for this, I missed it on the night. Much appreciated 😊
Goosebumps all over!!
This was definitely better than Perris performance for me, it was just pure fire 🔥🔥
they weren’t even on dancing on ice the same year lmao what
This was definitely better than Brendan of this year 2022 as well IMO
All I can say is James should be the next Bond, James Bond. Wow
Those saying that James had an advantage because he's a trained and professional stage and dance performer, what excuse did the likes of Bonnie Langford, John Barrowman and others have for being so mediocre (at best) on ice?
James deserved to win, best DOI Champion ever, he is better than Suzanne Shaw!!!!
Suzanne Shaw wasn't even the best of her season. Chris Fountain should've won that year.
Amazing
Just like Sarajevo! 1994 I remember taking the troops there !
Brilliant xx
James bought strictly to the ice
Brian should have been in the final doing this
