  • The ultimate Boosted Miata racing at Willow Springs, driven by my brother. It's a super quick 94 Miata that's pushing about 20 pounds of boost and making well into 300+ HP.
    The car runs in SCCA T1 class with Corvettes and Vipers and does really well against the high powered cars.
    I hope you like my video and be sure to subscribe to see more awesome videos as I build my boosted Miata!

      Keeping up and beating vettes and vipers is great and all, but when you smoke past a Mustang like it's standing still (5:36) - it just does a heart good :) doesn't it?

    It one thing to have a fast car, and another thing to have a good driver. Looks like you've got both there. I'm super impressed with your brother's car and driving skills. Looks like it was a fun weekend for sure.

      Thanks - yeah he's been at it for 30+ years, that car has years of development, started as his spec Miata 10 years ago.

    i would love to see the face expressions the viper and the corvette had once they saw the little old miata pushing their limits.:) great car over all. I just started my miata journey and watching your videos inspires me to have patients and build it properly. Miata goals forsure

    Nicely setup car. :) is it running the standard gearbox?
    I use the same aluminium composite panels for my splitters.

      It's a T56? I think? Not a stock one, that's for sure. Thanks, it's so fast - he's topped it out at 168 MPH at Auto Club Speedway (Nascar track.) This particular weekend he was hitting about 154 MPH on the straights.

      LOL composite - that's the word I was struggling for in the video, kept wanting to call it carbon fiber - LOL, getting old.

    Super video! Too bad that BRZ thought he could hang and ended up sliding out and pushed him off the track... I'm doing a turbo build right now and have watched you rear main vid a couple times over making sure I got it right before I put everything back in the car haha. Cheers.

      Thanks! Yeah that BRZ driver lifted in the corner and that was that. Good luck with your build - have fun!

      Thanks! Really enjoy your content. It's a EFR 62/58 with forged internals, just got a 3.9 ring put in. Those stock diff bushings are a pain to get out!
      Are you using stock oil pressure/coolant temp gauges if I may ask?

    • @Seandoestech
      @Seandoestech  7 років тому +1

      I am using stock sensors. Fuel pressure and oil temp are on my to-do list.

      I want to say on the tires - 275/50/15? Hoosiers. I'll get the details when I do my thorough review.

    What does he run as far as cooling?

    • @Seandoestech
      @Seandoestech  7 років тому +1

      Akram Ishmael It's a very large aluminum radiator, not sure the core thickness, maybe 80mm? No fans and no coolant reroute. Uses water wetter and seldom goes over 200 degrees at race speed.

    • @GearHeadsGarageChannel
      @GearHeadsGarageChannel 7 років тому

      I'm surprised he doesn't have the reroute, but no fans needed at speed!!!! and for how huge that is none needed at idle either probably but I doubt it sits too much =P

    • @Seandoestech
      @Seandoestech  7 років тому

      My brother hates reroutes - he lost it when he saw that I did one LOL. Spend your money on a bigger radiator is what he'll tell you. He never idles long, always cuts the motor if he has to sit.

    • @GearHeadsGarageChannel
      @GearHeadsGarageChannel 7 років тому

      Well he ONLY used it on a racetrack, a bigger radiator(as big as he has, cus I have one just not THAT big) means no room for fans and thats no good on a street car!

    • @LukasGilkey
      @LukasGilkey 7 років тому

      What radiator is he using?
