I think Alex Hirshe said he would be selling copies of the actual journal #3 in 2016
Every page shown in journal #3 will appear in the book

This book is amazing! It looks more realistic then the ones they sell on Amazon! My younger brother is a big fan of this show, I'll be sure to make one with all of the pages inside for his birthday!
I can do this in 4 steps
Step 1
Open you PC
Step 2 go to amazon.com
Step 3 order the journal 3 bookthen waith for like a month
Step 4 open the box and boom you have a journal 3

This was such an awesome idea and you did a great job executing it!! :D I actually had a wood-shop class and made the 3rd journal's cover on a block of wood (painted and all) and it now proudly sits on my computer desk in my room! :3

This is a great recreation of the Journal, I'm ordering Journal 3 online so I can make 1 and 2 myself with this method. Tysm!
Mine has come out AWESOME! I chose a blank notebook and painted it red. Then traced my iPad for the hand on gold paper. Then added all the details. Mine only costs 2 bucks for the notebook. My mom is an artist, so she had all the materials.
I seriously want to but a red sketchbook and make this to fill it up with doodles of Gravity Falls, Steven Universe, and a couple of other fandoms.

While I didn't watch much of Gravity Falls, I do wanna make this book as a sketch book(which means I would have to buy a hardcover sketchbook specifically for it)but this was a good tutorial for when I eventually do this!
This is so cool! Wanna know a trick? If you paint over the pages with white acrylic ghesso, you'll have a good blank canvas to draw on. (I learned this from someone who does this to get rid of the lines in those school notebooks. Sweet!)
It requires alot of it though.

You can if you really try, just keep practicing your art skills, you'll get better at it.
Oh and by the way, I've been working hard at my UA-cam video stuff and that's how I kept getting better... so hope this advice helps.
HERE'S A TIP: the real jurnols are more washed out and old looking so take some very light brown paint and gently paint the cover of it, it helps!
My mums getting me the actual journal with fords notes in it on Jan 3 and my friend is getting me a journal which is plain AWESOME

When i buy the real original journal that was written by alex hirsch his own hand and was spread on the world... It cost 35 dollars but it was WORTH IT ITS REALLY COOL!!!! And the page that you shown us on this video... Its on the original journal too! One day i hope they will make journal 1 and 2, i will buy them instantly!

Take the official Journal 3, use dark red leather and a glue gun. Use an exacto knife to make the hole for the hand. Rip the leather by hand or if needed, use scissors for the rips. Use the gold paper to make it like actual gold (or if you want a 3D feel like me, take an illustration board and coat it 3 times with gold spray paint for the hands and corners), do the gold beads thing and rip the cover where the fake rips are using scissors or an X-acto knife. Also use the bland bookmark ribbon Alex gave you for the standered edition and buy a monacle and tie the bookmark around it. Add the bookmark with the tassels (tasos?). Once you're done, go on the internet to find all blacklight pages from any lucky person who has the limited edition. I used a cheap blacklight pen to copy every single thing.
BOOM! Super-limited modded Journal 3 made with the standered edition anyone can make. Show your friends and keep this Journal away from people with glowing yellow eyes.
The 21$ is great, I've seen crappy versions for 40-50 dollars. I'll make my own, thx.
