Excellent lads. I have had the good fortune to hear them many times here in Houston and never miss a chance. They have won World Juvenile Pipe Band World championships in 1985, 1995, 1998, 2004, and 2006 and have performed for Queen Elizabeth II and former US President George W. Bush. This is quite an accomplishment since for many of them it was their first introduction to Celtic culture. They joined the as teenagers and left as teenagers, no greybeards in the group, which took a lot of talent.
That being said, I make a bee line for them everytime I'm at the Worlds, as I believe that if they stuck together after leaving school, they would easily make G1 and within 10yrs could even be a contender at the Worlds. I'm truly impressed by the sound each time. Keep up the good word and good luck in 2010.
The solo tune is Dawning of the Day...played in a slow air style I have not seen a score for this...u have to listen to it over and over and work on composing it
Great sound, im in the same band as the guy 3 down from me(bryce2012) ya i wish our band would start with dawning of the day and then into at long last, like this band showed, but it makes us different from the rst of the bands
They are better than slot. I bet you were just basing them on this one song. This pipe band is the world champion juvenile bagpipe band, and has been for many years. They are every bit as good as slot if not better.
Great, should note that in this grade, if playing up they must play in G2 such is juv standard in the world. BUT there's bits showing they're a Juv band. They're nowhere near SLOT & have long way to go.These guys are young with lots of experience still to gain.Awesome.(listen to SLOT- don't forget they were Champion of Champions in the UK in 2008,based on Grade 1 bands over 5 major contests including the Worlds, So they beat the likes of FMM, Shotts, Strathclyde Police, The Power....more?)
the best tune i heard with bagpipe
today people not look bagpipes that play fast
in our days peoles need breath and rilax
with good music like this!!!

I enjoyed this so much: every bit as good as Terry Tully and SLOT Pipe Band.
Well done to all the band and their piping and drumming tutors!
One of the best bands I've heard. Im a piper myself and ive seen the tattoo and heard bands all over Scotland and the world.
10 Stars

Best regards from Germany

Yes I am watching this great band again. It must be a great school aswell.
Thats all!
Of course they are, considering they're world champions.
Great job guys...first class!
I play "At Long Last" and "The Dawning of the Day" as a set as well. I though I was being original, but these guys seem to have beaten me to it.
I thought they were excellent. But, then, I'm a sucker for all pipe bands especially when they play old Irish.
with lyrics....raglan road by luke kelly....check it out
The second tune is At Long Last by James McHattie
First tune is Le faine Gael an lae Gaelic. The dawning of the day.

Somebody knows, what's the solo-tune is and where I can get the notes for it?

I only know that Tyler Fry is their instructor.
