    This goes back to literally day 1 concepts...
    If you are going to attack a joint, you need to immobilize the joint proximal from it, and control the joint distal from it.
    To attack the elbow, you need to immobilize the shoulder and control the wrist.
    The arm bar is a funny thing in grappling, a LOT of people in training will give it up when the move really wasn't actually that deep. Most people SUCK at ACTUALLY holding the shoulder down.
