Wow crazy timing for me, been a finalmouse fiend for the past few years and was pissed they only gave the new software to the newest mouse and my scroll wheel was jumping for ages on my Tenz and driving me nuts and was over buying expensive mouse every year and just wanted a reliable mouse. Remembered my gx1 from before my finalmouse venture and looked and saw the superlight 2 and just got it today. It feels so good the shape really is amazing. Clicks on this are great. Polling feels amazing at first impression(we'll see). Excited to break this in more and see how it does. Watched your first video just now setting it up and see a link to the 2nd video and realize it was just posted today and was thinking "perfect timing"! xD. Great job on first vid the onboard memory thing had me stuck for hours. Look forward to watching this vid. Is that mouse movement program ok for windows 11?

The software is designed so poorly that it also took me hours to figure it all out. The Mouse Movement Recorder does NOT work with Windows 11 and will give out incorrect information. you're a god I assumed it saved the custom profile automatically, but I noticed something felt off when I went wireless with on-board memory, my DPI was at 800 instead of 1600&the polling rate was 1000hz like you showed
would not make a difference for you at all. if you use 4k polling setting on 1600 dpi on a 540htz monitor in an fps shooter game like Valorant there is a slight difference but after 2k or even 1k the smoothness difference is extremely minimal and undetectable by the human eye. for a game like league this feature would be useless but it's a "nice to have" feeling so if you can you might as well update.

Is it necessary to have on board memory ON when you playing...lets say i have 3 profiles 1k,2k and 4k polling, can i just switch them without turning on board memory ( in offline mode change ) !? That's hard to answer without logging all the hours (which I've done before). And it also varies depending on settings you use and how you use the mouse, ie desktop browsing vs gaming. But I'd estimate somewhere around 40-25 hours.
Just for reference, the g hub app does show a battery life estimate in the device settings page which changes depending on selected settings now. Not sure if that was always there, but figured i'd mention it here
dang i used that mouse movement program and it says my hz is basically 100-150 hz consistently as well and red and green bars show up somewhat consistently too when just moving mouse around inside the borders of the program :/ any suggestions?
also, better try online tool, just google mouse polling tested and see if it gives you same results. for me the program was very buggy and gave me inaccurate results while the 5+ online tools I tested all worked equally well.
I dont think so, it says on ghub that its connected as "lightspeed" . Bluetooth was enabled in general on my computer but i turned that off now and its still the same unfortunately.. been trying for hours to figure out why im only getting 150hz max as well as the green and red bars popping up a lot on pointer movement :'/ @@patrikmedia

Yep it's Windows 11. The recorder is older and was made before Windows 11 came out. But when it does work on Windows 10, there will be readings above 4000hz which is normal since the polling rate setting is a soft cap. Idk if I've seen +5000hz tho. Gonna try it lol.

The original G Pro X Superlight 1 can only go to a max of 1k hertz. Which is actually more than enough in my opinion and I wouldn't upgrade to a new mouse just to go beyond 1k hz because there isn't really much of a benefit beyond 1k hz.
The demand in CPU resources seems to be more of a Ryzen thing, you don't see the spike in CPU usage when using Intel CPUs. I tested this on my 6700K, 3300X, 3900X, 5950X, 12400F and 13900K (this was my upgrade path, the 12400F was a temporary CPU while I RMA'd my 13900K which broke), the three Intel CPUs don't see spikes in CPU usage when using 4 or 8Khz. The Ryzen CPUs do have spikes in CPU usage when I move the mouse and would freeze the animation on my desktop wallpaper and then unfreeze after not moving the mouse, which never happens on my Intel CPUs. I would speculate this has to do with the CCD/cache latency in Ryzen. I was testing this with my Razer Viper 8K at the time.
im not understanding how to update the mouse. I dont see an option to update and I was told its because I need to plug in both the wired connection to my mouse AND have the dongle/usb connected? How do I connect both at the same time? surely im not supposed to put my dongle straight into my pc without the adapter that came with the mouse? but the adapter connect through my wire so how would i plug in my mouse?

I updated the ghub and everything to get the 4k hz and i have it saved onto a profile using onboard memory but when i check the hz on my mouse in a hz checker, it keeps saying 2k when im moving my mouse. I'm not sure if it's just a error on my part or not. You have any solutions ?
if i go above 2000hz the red and green bars become very common and pop up maybe 10 times per second so im stuck using 1000-2000 and the mouse feels like it just has latency
Any idea how could i bind dpi switch on keyboard? My previous mouse had a dpi switch button which i used quite regularly when i had to be super precise, now this mouse doesnt have any extra button that i dont use already so i think i have to find a way to get it bound into keyboard.
I'm trying to map it to my scroll wheel click but if not a key will do. If you go into Ghub theres an option for assignments and then in the last option "system" scroll down and you'll find a category for mouse and dpi options..
@@xSanteri no clue. just bind it to your mouse wheel and it cycles when you click it not roll it. the only use to click in the wheel is to drag scroll a page which you can do with the scroll when anyway so mosewell
I have the same mouse, I use it on a skypad and if I put it on or auto it gives me mouse movement problems I lose the movement signal and if I use it on a normal mousepad it's fine

Pretty sure it only uses what it needs so if you swipe the mouse fast side to side.. (with a higher dpi like 1600) that's when it will use more hz.. this is how I believe it works anyway bro!
mmr is broken on win11 and will not display correct values for either movement or polling. its an ancient program you dont need if all you want is no mouse accel, just make sure epp is turned off in pointer options.

Hi do you know why my GPX2 started randomly moving up by itself? I mostly play Valorant and suddenly the crosshair goes straight looking to the sky or straight to the ground, unsure if its a setting or just defective.
its a wireless mouse thing for everyone, it should be a rare occurrence, it happens to me in val once in a blue moon maybe if i'm on low battery. you shouldnt worry about it i dont think

It's Windows 11, most likely not your mouse if that's what you're using. The recorder is older and was made before Windows 11 came out.

I use glass mousepad and since this update i can't turn off gaming surface. It sucks because the tracking is not good with it on auto or on.

Have you done a mouse polling rate test online? The max I've reached is roughly 2,400 hz with the mouse set to 4,000hz.

4K consumes a lot of CPU power. Unless you upgrade your CPU / RAM, it will always lag in some games. Just stick to 1K, there's no real difference.

I took the 8k hz dongle of the viper v2 pro and I set the 8k and when I move it it goes up from 9% to 12 and if I move it fast it goes up to 16%

The default setting is set to 1000hz so your battery will last a LONG time unless you change it to 2000hz or 4000hz yourself.

Hi do you know why my GPX2 started randomly moving up by itself? I mostly play Valorant and suddenly the crosshair goes straight looking to the sky or straight to the ground, unsure if its a setting or just defective.
its a wireless mouse thing for everyone, it should be a rare occurrence, it happens to me in val once in a blue moon maybe if i'm on low battery. you shouldnt worry about it i dont think
