Glad you enjoyed it! We had the storms on & off for the whole time we were there. it's really unusual to get rain out in that region. Pity that storm was a little too far away for the camera but great to see from a distance. Thanks for your comment,
Thanks Ron. Yes that area is full of history & great landscapes The lightning was a bit hit & miss on video but it was amazing watching it at the time 👍😀
Hi Paul & Michelle What a great video! Thoroughly enjoyed it. The Corner Country has been on our bucket list for years. Hopefully we will head out that way soon. Just have to find a gap in the travel diary when the weather is a bit cooler. Cheers Peter & Annette
Cheers Guys Back in the early days we used to spend a lot of time in that area. So was great to revisit. A little more friendly these day's & Milparinka has done a huge amount of work to preserve the history You'll love it out there Cheers 🍻 Paul & Michelle
Ha! One of my favorite places in Australia. We have a couple of videos here on Cape York Trips & around the Gulf & Cooktown. Thanks For the comment, Cheers, Paul.
Nice! We stayed at Endeavour Falls just down the road from you. Also drove through Hopevale on the way to Elim Beach. Love the areas around Cooktown. We usually spend a week there each time we visit Beautiful Country.
No, we were just told where to go & sent on our way. It was late November & not peak season so I think they were not expecting any visitors. We we only one of two people staying at the Granites. Didn't see Barney either. Once we booked in to the caravan park we didn't return to the roadhouse. We actually bought our fuel at the General store in further in town. Cheers, Paul
Hi, Not too bad with the flies & we didn't see any mozzies at all. It can change from visit to visit. Sometimes you are just lucky, others it can be almost unbearable. Mostly in the outback areas we find the flies not too bad. Cheers
Really interesting video, loved the lightening storm ❤ Thanks for sharing 👍

Was Sophie still helping you to your site at The Granites ? And did you meet Barney the corella at the Road house ? He is such a character.
