6 rocks for 7 whales?
😂😂 Dunno 🤷. Didn't actually count the rocks. Been a while since but I was just looking at number 7 Good pick up
Nice time lapse! What are those big birds? Are they Ostrich? Emu? Uh oh! "Come back and get your husband" LOL. - Michelle
Hi👋. Thanks for your comments 😀. The big birds are Emu. As John Willianson sang: "He can't fly but I'm telling you He can run the pants off a kangaroo " 😂😂😂 Yeah 👍. Michelle really does care 😂😂 Cheers 🍻 Paul & Michelle
@@pmk3australia 😍
Another great video guys the Flinders is one of the places still on my bucket list thanks for the preview all the best Ron
Glad you enjoyed it Yes. It's a great place & access is pretty good too 👍 Cheers Paul & Michelle
are you allowed to loot?
I would say no. These places should be left as is for everyone to see. Take only pictures leave only footprints! Cheers Paul.
@@pmk3australia im wondering if all those abandoned cars are drivable.
I Think when I was there a few of the residents were still living in town. I Believe It has since been totally evacuated & remaining buildings have been demolished. So I would imagine that there's nothing left to see anymore.
Thanks for sharing this. I came across this road on a recent trip to Uluru and wondered where it popped out. You’ve inspired me to adventure along there on my next trip.
Wow! You dug up a memory there! 14 years ago on the way home from a Great Central Rd trip solo.... glad you enjoyed it. Have a safe trip. Cheers 🍻 Paul
my family lived out at Moolyella 1982 , the mining company was Endevour resources ltd. I was there when the cyclone came through from Port Hedland and completely blew our house on the hill (Frog Castle) down and was rebuilt. I left 84, there are still family members in Marble Bar. The toilet block near the dam was for the families living in caravans until the long termers got a house. where the stone circles are was the mess and mans quarters, it had a grass lawn then, Wally was the head Chef at the time. families I remember, Bishops, Harding's, O Conners, Keos, Carrs, Edwards. Thank YOU for sharing.
Thanks for your comments, We love to hear from people that actually lived at the places we explore..... We heard about Moolyella from the guy that managed the general store in Marble Bar. I think his name was Murray & his partner Hazel worked at the Travellers Rest service station. We love to explore these places & see the not so touristy places & a little local knowledge goes a long way. We really enjoyed our stay in Marble Bar. We are heading that way again next year but will be spending a a month or so in the Kimberley before moving down into the Pilbara again Really looking forward to it. The north west is like no other place in the country. Thanks again for taking the time to share your story with us Stay Safe, Paul & Michelle
Having just watched someone heading down the murray in a boat, I clicked on your video thinking you would be in a boat to.
Ha. Nah.... The Darling River Run is a drive. You would struggle getting a boat down the length of the river. At times it hardly flows Just a bit different from the Murray Cheers 🍻
Loved this video 👌we are heading up to Birdsville in October. Looking forward to driving up the Big Red 👍 Cheers
Thanks 🙏 You'll love Birdsville And Big Red is a lot of fun if it's not too busy up there Enjoy your trip Travel Safe Cheers Paul & Michelle
my father was one of the divers who found the Clan Ranald Anchor. It was on the cliff pointing to the ship wreck for many years. It was removed and taken to Adelaide for restoration and then finally returned to Yorkes where it was decided to put it in Edithburgh near the museum. Great to see it on your channel. My father's legacy still brings me so much pride.
That's Amazing. So glad to hear info like that We did see it in Edithburgh Such a beautiful & rugged coast Really enjoyed the Yorke Peninsula. In fact we were supposed to go across to the Eyre but spent so long on the Yorke we ran out of time 😂 Thanks for your comments Really appreciate & your connection to the place Cheers Paul & Michelle
@@pmk3australia Thanks for your reply. It is a beautiful place. I grew up in Yorketown and my mum is still there. Sadly my dad passed away 6 months ago but as I said he has left a wonderul legacy for all his family. I am glad you got to visit such a beautiful part of Australia.
Even better the 2nd time around 👍
Wow! Just - WOW!
Yep. Pretty Special as long as the weather is kind Very exposed if it turns nasty Cheers 🍻
When was this?
2023. November 👍
What do you use for communications in the outback. Satphone/starlink not sure what to get
We used to use a Thuraya Satellite Phone which worked really well but since their satellite system failed it's now useless Disappointed because it was a very affordable option We are currently looking at other options. Starlink looks great but expensive but might have to go with it as it is probably the best alternative Not sure I want to go back to a satellite phone again The plans are expensive for what you get & feel I might just as well pay the extra cost for Starlink & have a full internet service Haven't really done a lot of research yet but something we need to look at soon Sorry I couldn't be more helpful Cheers Paul
Interesting places worth visiting and exploring! Two thumbs up!
22:56 Great video Paul and Michelle, Queensland has never really been on my next trip list, but what you have shown me has planted in the seed. Birdsville is a must, minus the crowds, but this episode i❤
Thanks Ron. Qld has a bit of everything Tropics, Outback, Great Coast & The Great Dividing Range So much to do and see But then the whole country is Amazing. Just have to take it one day at a time....... Cheers 🍻 Paul & Michelle
Another great video guys the emu didn't like the look of you they can be very annoying when they do that all the best Ron
Thanks 👍. Yeah, The emu are a strange one, You never know what they are going to do🤣
😂😂 Michelle will get you for scaring her like that!!!
She scares me too at times. It's just that I'm usually the one filming so you onle get to see the times I scare her.......😂
Great videos guys and keep up the good work
Thanks, We'll try Cheers.
You have to love western qld , your videos are such high quality , thank you , safe travels .
Yes, We visit regularly as we have family in Palm Cove & always come home that way. Thanks for you comments, Glad you like what we do Cheers
Did you know that you could have driven back on the beach?
No. Wasn't aware of that. Thanks for the info. Next time Cheers
Such beautiful country and you've captured it so well. No wonder the indigenous people love it.
Thanks. Yes it's beautiful country indeed 👍
Great star shots. They were not the Granites you were at, unless there has been some massive erosion since I was there. They are way bigger than that. Maybe 10m high and quite spectacular. For memory I think they are on the western side of the Hungerford-Eulo road. Just looked up a map and you travel 16km north of Hungerford on the rd to Eulo, then turn left then go another 10km. Something to check next time your out that way
Ah! Bummer. There were no signs but we followed our maps Explororoz traveller. The spot where we were wasn't far from the old racetrack site Gonna have to go back out and have another look now 🙄 Thanks for the info Cheers 🍻 Paul & Michelle
@@pmk3australia it shows up on the pdf map of the Currawinya national park. Took a bit to find a map. Maybe people are making it a bit hard to find, bit like not allowed to walk up Ayres Rock anymore.
Thanks for the info. We did notice many of the signs were missing.
I used to work on the property that the mud springs are on. Those mounds are the springs. Up on top you can push a stick in them and the will come out with mud on them.
Okay 👌. Thanks for that info 🙏 We thought we had the right place...... cheers 🍻 Paul
Those night sky shots you took were absolutely sensational Paul.
Thanks Ron. It's a bit hit and miss but sometimes I get lucky & get a good one 😂😂😂 Stay safe Cheers 🍻
Mate, we absolutely enjoy your (and Michelle's) videos. There's nothing off or distasteful with anything you've ever made over the years. Cheers
Wow That's a great compliment! We really appreciate it too! We try not to be like a lot of others on here We're just us..... no drama I have a saying " More drama than a UA-cam thumbnail " 😂😂😂😂 Cheers 🍻
Are dogs aloud at the wetlands?
Yes, on a leash 👍
Thank you @@pmk3australia

Really Cool & really Popular But seriously it's a beautiful place We enjoyed our time there
The musical fence is really good I've been there before and it's really cool
Ha! Yeah but I need to keep Michelle off the drums 😂😂😂
Cool video mate, Chillagoe is a great spot. Andre
Yes! We planned a short visit & ended up extending So much to see in the area Thanks for your comments Cheers 🍻
Love your hard work with the drone! Fantastic! And no nonsense stuff!🐥

Hello , In 1981 , I drove around the Rum Jungle Uranium Mine , to this day I still glow at night , but the upside is that , I don,t need to turn on the lights at night time .... LOL .... Cheers ...Happy travels ....
😂😂😂 lived in Darwin in '82/83 and also visited Rum Jungle Was there again last year but it was difficult to find Not sure if I glow at night, have to check 😂😂😂 Thanks for the comment 👍
Great video guys i was over there last year only stayed at Mary Kathleen one day but a place to check out the past.i did walk around the mine that one spot does make you wonder if you have made the right path. All the best Ron
Thanks Ron. It's a fascinating place & a great camp spot. Think we will always stay there or Corella Dam on the way across Qld. Cheers 🍻 Paul
Never heard of Mt Meharry? WA's highest point and fully drivable to the top.
Ha......Yep. I have. And it is higher drivable now Mt Nameless was named highest drivable prior to Mt Meharry being drivable There's a plaque at the top of Mt Nameless stating that it's the highest drivable but now that's not the case..... That's where I got my info from
@@pmk3australia I drove up Mt Meharry 13 years ago. It was always drivable.
Ok😂 Still there is a Plaque on top of Mt Nameless stating that it is the Highest Drivable Mt in WA. Guess it must have been placed before that. 🍻
Great video Paul and Michelle, and am enjoying the dry one liners chucked in here and there 😂😂😂
Thanks Ron, Yeah, the one liners come naturally between us & sometime we catch the odd one on video. Glad you appreciate them! But we're just being ourselves 😀Cheers
Great vid - love the commentry.
Glad you enjoyed Thanks 🙏 Cheers 🍻
You may want to look up on UA-cam regarding deterrents for rats and mice in engine bays etc. One remedy was to mix peppermint oil and water into a spray bottle and spray into the engine bay. I have never done it, but there was a threat of mice near where I lived a few years ago and some people said it worked. It might be worth trying, you can buy the oil from most supermarkets etc.
Thanks for the advice 🙏 I have had heaps of ideas from our Facebook page also Many did mention peppermint Might give it a try Although we've been travelling around the country since the,80s and it was the first time we had a problem with rats. Seen the occasional mice plague but they didn't get under the bonnet Cheers 🍻 Paul & Michelle
Thankyou for the great video. We are heading there this Thursday for 2 nights at the National Park.
Have fun! It's a great walk Cheers 🍻
Cold in North Queensland. Diesel heater??? I think you both need to come back home to appreciate cold again.
😂😂. Even the locals are saying it is cold. It was getting down below 5 deg overnight. It's unseasonal & not what we've experienced on previous trips in the last few years We are currently back in Melbourne & yes it's colder Just feel it more these days Must be getting old 😂😂
@@pmk3australia we are in WA. 30s over here.
Yep! Heading over that way again next year. Plan on 6-8 months in Kimberley & Pilbara areas. Other than FNQ probably my Favourite part of the country As they say West is Best !
great vid... One day....
My spelling ok this time 😂😂 Cheers 🍻
The water was the deapest at Noahs flood and cant beleave millions of years.

Just viewed this for the first time.. w any details on the nav app or whatever for me to check out. Thanks.😀
Hi. The track to Halligan Bay is about 7km before William Ck. Coming from Marree. Not sure what you are asking? My nav app is Exploroz Traveller. With EO Topo Maps Hope this helps Let us know if you need more 👍
@pmk3australia thanks.. I was trying to ask (badly)what nav app was showing on screen, which you've answered. How do you find using it generally please?
Ha ! Yes I Think I got the idea..... We like it, have been using it for a few years now & I reckon it's good value for the price. As long as you have a device to run it on that is fast enough. We have an Andriod head unit in the DMax an have it loaded onto that & it works well. We also have it on our Iphones which is great when you are on a hike to track where you are. I have previously used ozi explorer, Hema, VMS but I think Exploroz is great although we don't use it to it's full potential. Look it up on Google & check the reviews. Hope this info helps. Cheers Paul & Michelle
Carmila Beach may be a little easier to find on Wikicamps :-) - Great vid..... One day.
Whoops 😅. 🙄 Don't want to make it too easy to find 😂😂😂😂 Thank for picking that up I have edited the description Cheers 🍻
Weather is much nicer than what I have to put up with between Sydney and Dandenong, great episode guys 👍
This was back in May. We're a couple of months behind with our videos. Once we left the coast the weather improved Although we are currently in Cunnamulla and it's raining 😂😂😂 I guess you are in Vic in the middle of winter ❄️ We'll be home by the end of July Not looking forward to that 🙄 Thanks for your comments 👍😀
Wow!! Another great episode 👏. I'm looking forward to the next episode. Safe travels.
Thanks! 👍. More to come soon from this current trip Really appreciate your support & comments.
How awesome that footage is! Much appreciated.
Glad you enjoyed it Thanks 🙏

Great video thanks guys i missed 1770 when i was over there last year looks like i have to drive back to check it out all the best Ron
Thanks Ron. We usually avoid the high profile places but 1770 was a surprise Beautiful place & was pretty quiet outside of peak season when we were there. Loved the cp we stayed at also Cheers 🍻
