I think you can't fully own a property in thailand with ratio of 49% for foreign owners. Thai person will always be the superior owner with 51% share.
There are ways to do it 😉

U cant own a property (land piece) 100% as an expat. It is confirmed. But Bawa will have thai wife and he can buy land.
Or u can lease a land and build ur own home but lease will be only for 30years. And there is no guarantee that lease will get extension after 30 years.
There were a proposal that expats can buy land of 1 rai n built their home in 3 cities only but thai parliament rejects that law immidiately (chinese reason that u have mentioned). Suddenly thai govt is removing a lots chinese business men and scammer from thailand. In FEZ zone in Thailand, a lots of business owned by Chinese siezed because of counterfit goods.
