Thailand people are actually mixed. Northern part of Thailand have Chinese roots. South of Thailand have Malay and east have Cambodian and Laos and west have Myanmar. When all meet up in Bangkok this what you get with new Thai generation. But above all they all share the same living but still practicing their own ancestors.
That does not matter untill and unless person is good heart and soul .

40% of thais are partial to full chinese descent based on stats. The native thais look similar to cambodian/khmer people. towards south thailand they recemble more malays as well.
