And when I say 3rd gender, I mean a 3rd completely unique gender not derived from man or woman.
Transgender is not a 3rd gender, it is simply switching from 1 gender or the other, but no 3rd gender there.
Non-binary is not a 3rd gender, you are simply refusing to be a part of either man or woman. but not having a gender =/= being a 3rd gender.
Demigenders or Free spirits, are also not 3rd genders, they fall on a spectrum between men and women, but once again that is still only 2 genders, no 3rd gender present.
And every other LGBTQ+ identify follows this trend. It is either a combination, a transition, or a rejection of the 2 genders we have. But I have not found a convincing argument that a 3rd unique gender exists.
The reason for that is because gender is linked to sex. and there are only 2 sexes, thus there is no need for a 3rd gender role to have ever existed, and thus it never did.
