- Use an RJ-11 one female IN and two female OUT type splitter.
(my splitter had 1 male IN and 2 female OUT connectors, that's why I also used a female IN and female OUT adapter also)

This works better than cordless phones which constantly need to have their batteries changed, less RF in the air and make things more comfortable and safe for people with poor mobility.i learned to do that as a teen.Sad most people dont know and need to pay to get someone to install such simple setup.i myself have 5 landline phones connected to the same line.

i was working on a short film involving two phones, where person A dials from phone A, then leaves the receiver down, then person B with phone B with receiver down wants to end that call, how can person B end Person A's call, do they have to hang up phone A, or can we pick up phone B and hang it up to disconnect call?

I have an office and I would like each person to have a landline, but I don't want everyone to ring at the same time that you would recommend.
I'm not sure, maybe a special router/modem which has multiple phone outputs...
I have one phone line in the wall that is also connected to a modem that is connected to another modem that relies upon the internet to work. Can I use the splitter you show to hook up another phone line for the bedroom or should I just plug the second phone into the modem and that's it? Do I even need to bother with the phone jack as it is already working with the modem, so if I just plug the second line into that same modem, will that be all I need to do?
I haven't used any modems in this setup, so I can't really answer.
Why can't we just plug in the splitter into the modem?

Mine is not working. Initially it was connected to one phone. I bought the splitter and connected two phones. Only one works. I even switched ports both ports are working but one one phone is working.

I have a broadband connection. Can I use that for telephone?
An internet connector (RJ45) has 8 pins, a phone line connector (RJ11) has only 4 pins, so it might not work that way. Maybe by using an adapter and other instruments/software.

I have some situation, have 2 phones and splitter. One phone is wireless and other is not. When i connect them, they both work, i can call with both, and can answer call with both, but when someone call wireless phone do not ring, i do not know why, i try to switch cables in splitter but it dos not work, try to unplug wire phone, and then wireless do ring, but as soon as i plug in white phone back he star ring and wireless stop. Nevertheless i can answer call on wireless phone even if he do not ring.
Do you know how can I make only one landline phone work at a time on the same connection ? What I am looking for is that other person in my home should not be able to hear my conversation when I am already using one phone. Is there any existing solution ?

I don't know how to call, but if the 2 receivers are both at the ear they can communicate.

No you cant call the other phone because they are on the same line sharing the same phone number. But if you talk into one phone in the exact same moment the other phone is at somebody's ears, than it will hear you. Both can communicate if the 2 receivers are picked up. The problem is that there is no (default) way to make a signal so that the other person know when to pick up the receiver.

I'm not sure, but if you call from a 3rd phone both will ring. If you pick up the receiver on both phones at once than you can talk for free.

Do u have landline phone ? Cable modem is the same to connect phone landline?
This phone was connected to a modem, but as I remember older analog phones which didn't used a modem worked in the same manner.
