This isn't the country I grew up in. Each of these cases against him get more ridiculous and more biased. This judge made claims that seem wildly out of his wheelhouse. How dos a judge make determinations on property value??? That is insane.
The trick is you give the taxman a low value and the bank a high value. You're supposed to use appraisals and carefully document. When the numbers that you are using change by who you're talking to, that's a red flag.
It was also found that they were telling and showing banks how much money the various companies had in sales....Trouble is the companies were ALL owned by Trump and so the sales did not exist.

Get you facts right , the Judge didn't value the property ... he took that valuation of $18mil to $26 mil from what the Trumps valued the property for tax reasons .. and even complained that $26mil was to high a valuation when they had to pay $500K property tax .. Lets think for a minute about Trump inflating property prices and the benefits. There is no benefits and actually its a detriment as the higher the value of a property the more property taxes you pay. It would be far better to devalue the property from that aspect. Now if we are talking about taking out loans against the value of a property then it is the lender who didn't do their due diligence to appraise the property before giving the loan. This is a private matter and Trump hired people to do the evaluation of the property. Now if the IRS over appraised his property to inflate his tax burden then its the IRS under the Biden administration who should be under the microscope.
Trump's property value problems began years ago, long before Biden or he were president.
You can argue anything you want, but the judge that heard the case disagrees with your assessment. I think it was called fraud. The judge probably knows a lot more than you do. Trump's lucky it was a civil case, or he could have been headed for the crossbar hotel.
My Republican attorney just told me that since Trump committed fraud in NY, that all those banks and businesses he defrauded, can now sue him, best prepare Donald, the indictments you are facing will be minor compared to the probably major legal proceedings you will be charged with soon!
If Trump knowingly lied about the value of the properties, then this is fraud and is just another lie to add to his long list of lies.
The judge in the case tackles this due diligence argument in his summation - it worth following up what he said.
If you look up the case details you will also find that he lied about the size of his Manhattan apartment saying it was 3 times the size (in area) than it actually was. Whether you think this is acceptable I don't know, but to me it is deception and it is appropriate to call it fraud. Whether this will make people reconsider their support for Trump - I doubt it. They seem willing to accept all the lies, immoral behaviour and corruption this guy does. Isn't their a better Republican candidate to chose?

I agree about McConnell but I think saying he is too old makes being old so negative. He had a head injury. That could happen to a younger person. Many elderly people are in great shape physically and have great cognitive skills and years of wisdom and experience. Age is just a number. It appears that he may not be able to handle requirements of his position and retire but not "he is too old".
