I’ve noticed this lack of enthusiasm too. Me it’s more that I only buy stuff for projects. If it’s not for a big project I’m not gonna spend the money. Also I agree the lack of modern articulation is kind of sad. I like double jointed figures at 1/18.
I Nvr “grew up” with o ring……but I love the 4in modern figs most of vala came out with that I’d probably jump off the 12in lines tbh…..unless characters I love…….but what u say is true …there’s like 10 lines of o ring coming out I know of maybe 5 ,they’re cool ….just not all hitting hard enough to pull out my wallet
I stared out with 1/6 scale went to 1/9 scale to 1/10 scale and stead with 1/18 scale for a long time but started to go back to the 1/9-1/10 scale then 1/18 scale, then jumped back to 1/6 scale until now I only do 1/12th scale. For me its always been the characters first vehicles and playset secondary, but I always had vehicles and playsets for each scale. I only had O-ring as a kid because that is what those characters came in. Just think about all the mint on card O-ring figures that are going to fall apart on the card. Also I just cant get past buying any 1/18 scale for more than $10 ( old man brain ) I have come to terms that the 1/12 are between $25 to $50 ( still hard to get use to ). When the last time I bought a 1/6 scale figure it was $20 off the shelf and the Hall of Fame Rhino was $50.
That’s quite a journey. Me o keep it simple. 1:19th for world building like Joe and SW. 1:12 for figs like marvel abd dc. The rest of the scales I mostly resist.
@@robertsinfiniterealms1308 I have actually been collecting and displaying action figures since I was 8 plus when you are a 20 minute walk to a Child World and several other stores that sold toys growing up in the 80's with pocket money to spare, you have a way of collecting a lot of different lines.

Doubly jointed arms are an iffy point. I’ve seen them pulled of well and bad. Just cool figs is what I want.
Good video, my dude.
Thanks my man.

Lots of debated going around on these figs.
