    I can't begin to tell you how helpful these interior install videos are, and I'm pretty handy. You're answering so many little detail questions. Now if I could just get Ford to provide a van (after ordering more than a year ago). I'd love to get all the misc AVC parts and pieces out of my shop.

    After watching so many other build video’s finally came across your video’s. They are simple thorough, understandable, and to the point. I will definitely be referring back to your channel when I purchase a Ford transit. Thank you for the great content.

    These videos are super helpful and well timed as I recently started my build. I am curious why you routed the wires through the ceiling rather than through the wiring channel included in your sub-floor? I purchased one of your sub-floors and am getting ready to install it, but still trying to decide if I want to run the wires under the floor or not. Thanks!

    • @AVCRIG

      I run the vehicle charge wire and Espar power wire under the floor. I’ve definitely run more in the past on other builds. Especially the larger gauge wires for pump and fridge. This was a pretty simple build and I wanted to show more options for DIYers. Thanks for the question!

    Love your video! I would love to see how you connected the alternator power cable to the driver's seat location.

    • @AVCRIG
      @AVCRIG  2 роки тому +3

      That’s a good point. I’ll add that to our Yeti power setup video.
      If you need that now, there is a CCP on the drivers seat base side (outside to the door) two posts provide power. Larger post is 175 amps and the smaller is 50 (or maybe 60, they changes with the 2020 and I forget). We connect a 4AWG but you’ll have to do the math for your power pull and length.

    Another great video, thank you very much.
    I’m leaning toward it being a good idea to insulate and frame before wiring? Does that seem mostly correct?

    • @AVCRIG
      @AVCRIG  Рік тому +1

      Yes, absolutely. I find it’s easier to insulate first. Framing the ceiling is good it holds up the wire runs. I don’t frame the walls. I found it unnecessary.

    Can you explain what you used for the ceiling furring “strips”? Did you just use the plus nuts, and then bend them to the van’s curves?

    • @AVCRIG
      @AVCRIG  2 роки тому +2

      We have another video coming out about ceiling install and details. We do add 8mm plus nuts to the ceiling. We show this in our new van videos. We fit the ceiling with 1/4 strips to support the ceiling panels. The plus nuts are there to mount Unistrut rails on top of the ceiling for cabinets in the future.

    Could you let me know if you use the 1/2-inch or 1-inch size for the wire looms? How many wires can you fit into either wire loom size? Thanks for all the great videos!!

    Very helpful video thanks! Question tho, when you're measuring out length of wire from your goal zero to the water pump you mention you pull 5 arm lengths. when do you account for the switch for the pump? Does that not have to be included in that circuit or do you run that length separately?

    • @AVCRIG
      @AVCRIG  Рік тому

      I run that length separately. Switches go in different locations for different builds. This is also why I over size the wire for this circuit.

    Is there a specific reason to put the yeti goal zero 3000 on the opposite side as the water or is there just not space under the kitchen galley for it in this layout?

    • @AVCRIG
      @AVCRIG  Рік тому +1

      Two reasons. 1. I don’t like my main power system next to my water system. 2. Better balance of weight. That GZ 3000 is heavy!

    Where do you wire the D+ ignition wire for a DC charger? Do I need to pull the driver seat to access the vehicle interface connector?

    • @AVCRIG
      @AVCRIG  2 роки тому

      We use the Victron Orion that doesn’t need an ignition wire. If your system requires it you are correct that you pull the seat to access the wiring location. (It’s not too tough I did it for my subwoofer)
