It absolutely blows my mind that the handbag is solid 18K gold.
Well it’s not really. It’s woven gold.
Such a reserved human....and then she's practically unable to hold herself together at the end....I love it when calm, collected people are overwhelmed with good feels ♥️♥️♥️
At first I thought the lady was super disappointed with the estimate. Then when I heard The quiver in her voice at the very end of the lies that she was just very emotional, guarding her heart, not necessarily comfortable with expressing her emotions like some others in the roadshow.
It's her Mom's jewelry and accessories.
I thought the same thing, until I heard her speak at the end. You can tell she misses her mom.

That gold clutch was stupendous!
I don't know the reason why but the lady looked emotional all the way through as the appraiser spoke. When the appraiser finished speaking and the lady said 'Thank you' she had real emotion in her eyes and her voice was breaking. Might have been memories of her Mother who she spoke highly of. Have to say that I was impressed by the lovely and professional appraiser.
I think she was emotional maybe because she wished her mom had spent more time with her, and not socialized so much

Gorgeous pieces, and taking into account they were her mother's, If I was her I couldn't get rid of them.
Then when she dies, someone will sell them for less than what they are worth.
It's hard though when you have items worth so much money. Say you have 5 kids, how do you "split" them? You sell and split the proceeds.
Ashleigh Sanders My Dad recommended for my sister and I to flip a coin to see who would be the first to pick an item and then take turns choosing what we want.

Things that are being passed on through generations are very important and precious. It gives a sense of beloning and being connected.

I loved visiting that hotel many years ago with my cherished Aunt Lori. It was Christmas time - there was a Christmas tree in the lobby that was HUGE!🎄🎄🎄🎄
She was reserved but honestly I think she really still misses her Mom. Her mother clearly had exquisite taste and style.

100% appraiser is low-balling her evaluation! Collectors would pay 3 times that much for each piece!
It's Tiffany and likely catalogued so she may be exact.

Appraisers must almost feel like doctors sometimes because they're often talking to people in bereavement. It needs real sensitivity and tact.
$1000 for a Tiffany and co. compact with sapphires????? That seems like a ridiculous low estimate. $7000 for 6 carats of diamonds set in platinum is a steal if you believe this appraiser

jewelry is a very personal thing - she was trying to hold back her emotions - she had lost her mother only 2 years before the show..
