This is a great series on calvinism. Ive always wrestled with some of the points including this one. Its more clear now. I do think the ones holding to full calvism is an extreme view but people tend to like that.
He seeks and saves all his lost sheep. My sheep hear my voice. All the sheep are called, hear and follow Christ All that the Father giveth me shall come to me.
This video was not clear on its delivery of theology and came across as fence sitting rather than unifying Calvinists and Non-Calvinists. Very disjointed use of Scripture with a lack of full context. Altogether more confusing than clarifying.
Not until God showed me how irresistible my sin was, how hopelessly lost I was, with no remedy, did the fear of the Most High come over me. Seeing fully my just condemnation, Gods grace became effectual, powerful, and irresistible. Not sure how any confessing Christian can profess "Gods grace is resistable." Obviously, they dont recognize the depths of their sin.
None seek after God. Just accept scripture truths 😅. Thank God He chooses some in pure mercy and compassion. None seek for Him because we hate Him the bible tells us 😢
This is the 4th core tenet of "TULIP." In essence irresistable grace is that the Holy Spirit always calls, regenerates and saves God's elect, those redeemed by Christ. It never fails. Romans 8: 30; John 16 13-14 are evidence. Soli Deo gloria. Amen.
I don’t consider myself to be a Calvinist but I agree that we are saved by and live completely by Grace. People that don’t like Grace will always try to characterize it by assassination of its merits through hyperbolic language. To say that God is forcing you through the door kicking and screaming is a ridiculous accusation although, I gotta say that in some ways that’s kind of what happened to me in the beginning but to say that that’s the true implications to it is ridiculous! It obviously doesn’t mean that at all. It’s not hard to understand how you could have free will and yet God is sovereign. Your free will does not preclude the fact that God knows everything about you and knows how to maneuver events and even your heart to draw you in just the precise manor necessary to bring you to salvation and in my experience people that don’t like Grace and all of it’s benefits like predestination which is clear according to Romans 8:30 because they are afraid to give their lives completely over to Him. They don’t want you to know just how much of a scam artist they really are and it’s crazy to think anyone would be arguing for condemnation but what they’re really saying is condemnation for you.. Not them! Ofc not because they are perfect 🙄 Salvation itself comes through revelation. That’s simply the effect that happens when a person becomes exposed to the Spirit of God and their Spiritual eyes are opened. When Adam sinned God told Him he would die. Part of that death comes in the form of Spiritual blindness and deafness. Jesus said, my people perish through lack of vision so we see that vision is important to receive the abundant life of God. As a matter of fact I had a revelation the other day that faith is a Spirit or I should say THE Spirit. The revelation came from John saying God did not give us the SPIRIT of fear so since fear is like faith in reverse then faith has to be a Spirit as well and that’s backed up by scripture where Paul says we have the same SPIRIT of faith. The Bible says that faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word(rhema) of Christ so faith comes not just by reading the Word which is the logos but the Word with your name on it or the rhema that comes directly from Jesus speaking to you so revelation is key to salvation and God can maneuver you into position to receive that revelation but God’s confidence in your acceptance can’t be confused with you being forced to do anything. If that were the case we’d still be living according to the law and not faith. The point of understanding this doctrine is that it’s meant to comfort the Saints so it’s not a doctrine AGAINST unbelievers! Everyone is born heading towards hell so this doctrine isn’t saying that God is sending people to hell because they’re already heading there. He’s saving them from that certain fate and It’s a doctrine to help you to understand that you are secure in your position in Christ and that you can’t lose it because why would God say you are predestined but then allow you to slip away?and furthermore it’s EXTREMELY vital to our relationship to have security for it to be beneficial to us. If there’s no security then you’re just rolling the dice and hoping for the best and the reality is that if anyone with any degree of honesty looked at their life we would all fail before the end of the first day. The big problem with arguing back and forth with all these doctrines rather than just relying upon the Word of God is that our foundation needs to be the cross. I call the cross the best kept secret in Christianity because no one hardly ever talks about it in Christian doctrine and it’s the VERY foundation for everything we believe in as Christians. Yet, sadly most leaders in the church today don’t even understand the full implications of the cross nor do they mention it accept in passing and we need to tie everything we believe back to it if we want to validate our position. It’s SO much more than being about atonement and forgiveness. It’s the illegal access to everything God has for you in your inheritance and If you understand the implications of the divine exchange which is a simple way of saying that Jesus took my place so I could take His the possibilities are endless of what that means to you and me and if we understood it today we would need no motivation to come to God. We would run to Him! People that hate Grace don’t know, nor do they understand love and that’s really sad and in my experience mostly everyone arguing against it came from very messed up homes and that’s been my experience as well in dealing with them. Don’t just look at their arguments but look at who the person is that’s saying it because if you look under the hood it will usually tell you all you need to know about that person before you enter into a debate with them over this stuff and they sadly are far more numerous than you might think
Matthew 19:16-30 talking about the rich young man. It's easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle. It's not even possible for a camel to do so, so basically it is an impossibility for a rich man to enter the kingdom of heaven by his own powers. A rich person is unlikely to go through some of the hardship, destitution and helplessness that a poor person more likely goes through. I think the experience and acknowledgement of our helplessness and powerlessness to save ourselves is one of the ways God uses our circumstances to draw us to him. Perhaps it can be "easier" for a poor person to believe, but I think salvation is a miracle by grace through faith in Christ. We to trust in Jesus (God is salvation) is literally trusting that God is the one who saves. I think what God sets out to do, he will complete it. The usage of irresistible grace is in that God is the one who will do the saving. We might not understand who he predestines or why he chooses or calls some and not others, but despite that, if we trust scripture, and as scripture says that God is good and just, then His ways are so. Isaiah 40:13-14. Or seeing Job before God. But if we treat the Gospel is completely up to the choice of a person, often times I've seen it watered down to not even being the Gospel but trying to attract them with heaven and good things without even addressing sin and repentance. Where the evangelist is just trying to get people to say yes or go up in a altar call. Also the curious part of being born again. Why is birth the imagery in John 3? I had nothing to do in my choice or will with my fleshly birth. What are the implications of spiritual birth?
I find it interesting that there are 2 potter and clay references in the Bible, Jeremiah 18 and 2 tim 2 20, they both imply that we have choice in the matter. If we repent then God will form us for good use but if we are stubborn then he has the right to use us for dishonorable use. The Romans 9 reference of the potter and clay usage seems to be the same. God is showing the Jews that he hardened pharaoh after pharaoh hardened his own heart to accomplish a good purpose through a disobedient vessel and he also was hardening a number of the rebellious self righteous Jews to accomplish the crucifixion. However he goes on to say that they have not stumbled so as to fall but if they don't continue in unbelief they will be saved(so it isn't permanent) The potter and clay analogy is being taken too far in my estimation. God is warning us that if we resist him long enough he, as God, has the right to form us for a dishonorable purpose (but even in this forming it is for the good of others and not arbitrary)
He chose to give us birth through the word of truth. None of us had a choice of being born physically; why then would we expect a choice about being born spiritually? Yet it is hard to get our heads around something we ourselves have been an example of. And yes, I am aware of people who say they did not choose to be born as an excuse for not taking responsibility. They were not the first to throw a truth into God's face. Cain did it; it is obvious Cain lacked the infinity to truly be his brother's keeper.
I’m no Bible scholar but thinking that you need to include a mineral substance in prayer may be considered idolatry. Salt is simply a mineral and has no mystical power. Pray to God sincerely and ask for His will to be done. If you are not saved repent and ask him for his grace and mercy. No salt needed friend

Calvinism wasn't born with calvin actually but St Augustine already spoke about the predestination and the irresponsible grace
A saved person cooperates with God, and unbeliever does, and CANNOT
No free will, no man can come to me, do we really believe this!
Matthew 19:16-30 talking about the rich young man. It's easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle. It's not even possible for a camel to do so, so basically it is an impossibility for a rich man to enter the kingdom of heaven by his own powers. It is clear Calvinism is supported by the scriptures and if you reject Calvinism then you reject the scriptures. No ifs and no buts.
AMEN, brother, AMEN!
These guys contradict the scriptures.
All the Father gives me WILL come to me. This should end it.
But we all, by nature reject the Spirit. But the Elect won't.
I find it interesting that there are 2 potter and clay references in the Bible, Jeremiah 18 and 2 tim 2 20, they both imply that we have choice in the matter. If we repent then God will form us for good use but if we are stubborn then he has the right to use us for dishonorable use.

“Irresistible Grace” is a man made religious term, which is nowhere to be found in the scriptures.
