I've just found your channel the other day and have been literally been glued to all of your absolutely fascinating and intriguing video's. Every single one is so brilliantly made and are on such interesting topics. I was shocked to find you haven't got more subscribers than you have from watching them; I honestly expected well over a million. I'm sure there are so many people like me who are yet to find you and will be glad when they do, you're brilliant. Keep it up.
Did you know that the Microsoft Hololens can process terabytes of data /sec on the fly? Learn this and more in my latest video: ua-cam.com/video/NwY-6sQDYnk/v-deo.html It combines all of the in-depth, recent information about the Hololens to give us a full picture. Feel free to share if you learned something new.
Chris Loyen I really don't think my statement was casual nor non sequitur. I'm not offended either . But I really do think that someone at the leading edge of computing has developed something that can pass the Turing test. It may be a while until it's in desk top size though.
Why does this channel only have 170 thousand subscribers? There's so much effort put into these videos and it shows too. This is easily one of the best technology channels on youtube. Keep it up bro
That was by far the most comprehensive, most professional and most interesting technical presentation I've ever seen and I'm 70 with 50 years in tech. Something you might want to follow up with is an elaboration of the uses this tech can have in the enterprise environment. It is pretty clear from the small FOV that it will focus on utility, not entertainment. Yet.
As always, such a great job on a wonderful video. I am so happy to see Microsoft finally coming back into the mainstream of computing. They have been quite for so long. I bought Google Glass, but I can't wait to get this. So much more of an immersive experience.
subscribed to your channel for a long time now and you still surprise with great videos. Always learn something new and interesting. Thank you and keep them up :). Greetings from Croatia
ColdfusTion Absolutely love to see you uploading videos again. When I saw the Holo lens, I first remembered your video years ago. You got skills bro. When it comes to UA-cam celeb, you are my choice for sure. :) Have been a great fan of your amazing videography skills and those informative contents that are hard to find. You are a story teller like none other I've seen. Always awaiting more videos from you. Cheers bro.
It's crazy how, even though I'm 19 years old and grew up with ever changing technology, I can't believe we are in living in this era of such technological advances. Nowadays, technology "innovation" is barely changing the form factor of what we currently have. The Microsoft Hololens is a game-changer. Most probably it will be expensive as hell, but Microsoft is setting up the path for true innovation.
This is my favorite channel, you guys are amazing, go on i love to hear any thing from you , special you voice is my second favorite voice after jhony iv
NeedSkillNow If it replaces all my screens, I can live with that :P It's just the first few generations, in 5-10 years this stuff will be... Can't wait.
CyberJ it may replace all of your screens but it would suck if you had company over to watch a movie or game..."hey man, pass the headset"...ect ect ect...
thetruthis9 Will keep the TV for company, but for everything else... I mean I'de prefer watching a movie on the room ceiling before sleep, taking it off when I get drowsy, and sleeping :P It's cool no matter how you put it man.
I think that the best idea is to also use a glove that has electronic components which make it interact with the UI in a way that people could use it for CAD design in 3d rotate the images they create and then 3d print anything even remotely at any scale
Awesome video editing/production. I subscribed long before you had 30k subscribers. It's really nice to see how this channel growing, keep up the good work. One question. How you deal with copyrighted material?
Im trying to get away from all the virtual computer shit. I dont want it all around me, I want to go camping and enjoy the planet with all the real beauty it has to offer
***** I like how you are here on a video for augmented reality and claiming you want to get away from it and you are on a computer and not outside 11/10 Best Comment
I LOVE your videos in the fact that you seem extremely well spoken and educated. I was curious as to what type of formal education you have, if any and what your current profession is that makes you so well versed in not only the technological aspects of these companies but the bussiness side and history as well.
The biggest questions to me for a product like this are: 1: Who is the target demographic? Who want's AR? Who is willing to put on a plastic visor for that? 2: As it's wearable tech, will people not want to customize it? Isn't it as soon as you wear it, a piece of fashion?
I had heard that SRA had developed some minimal augmented reality that allowed USSS to tap into security cameras that was live for the 2008 inauguration. Also, Layer was around for the iPhone 3gs.
Damnnn.. Your video's are so good... Where was I the whole time... Thanks for making such a good stuff!! Truly amazing.. LoL**Lot's of love.. Waiting for more awesome videos..
You should do a video about iOS as a whole and how it manages to do amazing things better than the competition that has way better specs on paper. I would love it man thanks.
Wow Great video as Always. Keep up the good work I belive that you will hit milion views and milions of subrscibers with this kind of videos! ColdfusTion
More than 6 years later and the arrival of Hololons 2, MS remains way in front of the pack. We will be using MS H2 in an upcoming project despite its current cost
I love the idea of hololens so much!! In the near future , to see and interact with holograms , we do not need anything. Or maybe we could 3d print an object instantly. That is just my idea. In the future I will make a holographic projector which is similar to hololens and my ideas. A few months ago I thought of a name project holo. A few days later I was introduced with hololens! Since the name and the abilities of project holo and hololens are so similar, I decided to change the name.I need suggestions for names. So please help me! Anyways, nice video!Big thumbs up!!!
An interesting new video would be about why AR is not there yet? What needs to be solved? Do we need faster computers? screens with higher resolutions? etc.
I fell in love with the Hololens when I first saw it... and it is better than all PC's. Just being a little much to interested in it's design and capability I looked further into the Augmented world and I came across another Augmented design, that was better than the Hololens in every way bar one. The Augmented computer that I found is named the Meta2 Now the Meta2 has got better graphics, it has top notch Dolby speakers and the images know where everyday objects are, yet you can see everyday life and have the new way of passing things through E-mail. The new way is by passing by hand the object you wish in to another persons life no matter where they are in the world (from hand to hand) Now the down side of this amazing new piece of technology is you must have it connected to power at all times.... unlike the Hololens,, what can be without a source of power for up to three hours before needed another charge... Yet another up for the Meta2 is that you can carry round a power pack that can connect to the Meta2 and last up to 7 hours without needing to be recharged.... So for an extra 4 hour use of a brilliant design would you be put off from carrying a small backpack? I know that I wouldn't mind
Unfcking believable, to think someone can even dislike coldfustion's videos, his videos are amazing both in quality & content and I bet he puts a lot of hours into making these videos that are the best that I've seen on any youtube channel, but what can you do, haters gonna' HATE! HATE! HATE!
Truth is: Headgear of this bulky-ness will never become mainstream for next few decades as a home consumer device. Especially if it only leads to doing the same thing in more complicated or fancier looking ways. Actual holograms in your living on the other hand will be in prpbly in every household once they are ready. This is maybe usefull for certain types of work fields but not for you and me, especially not for pure entertainment.
The potential for Realspace modeling and creativity is off the charts if this thing does all they plan for it to do. No need for holo-displays when everyone can wear these!
Dear ColdfusTion If you follow the news you can see that the world is destroying itself. Numerous wars and conflicts and the new arms race between the US,Russia and China are heating things up. Up until now i thought that we are screwed but your videos have helped me realize that humanity has a lot of potential. My self and probably a lot of people habe been watching your videos with amazement. Keep it up, you're making the world a better place! Kind regards, Andrej
the first video i found which talked about some limitations which i really wanted to know.......... i wonder when will i be able to connect a keyboard to it or produce a virtual keyboard inside the field of view. the only thing pending to turn it into a programming heaven
it's fun i will see your videos with the hololens on the wall of my room :) it's gonna be the greatest experience ever but i think that it's really look like the first computer : massive and not very clever and i think that in 20 years we will say " look at the hololens it's so big, so slow " but still i'm really enthousiastic
8:53 well, i don't think you should have exactly compared the hololens to the google glass. This is much more bulky and doesn't seem like something anyone would use all day, such as taking a walk outside. The glass on the other hand is much more light in comparison and isn't really meant for advanced holograms and fully interactive world. Its like comparing a giant 18" desktop replacement and a smaller 14" laptop. Sure, you could carry both, but do u=you really need all that power to just take notes on on such a behemoth? You can't exactly do heavy video editing and rendering on a 14" laptop either. They both have their own uses.
Another drawback is that you can't naturally focus and de-focus on virtual content. For those who are waiting for a true virtual retinal display experience, the big name in the game is Magic Leap.
It's 2021 and UA-cam just recommended this video. I thought by now we'd all be wearing hololens all day everyday.
Awesome video :) very inspired from your work and production !

Can you make a video of how big is Apple Inc. like you did it of other companies like Google and Samsung Thanks. +ColdfusTion
ColdfusTion Terabytes per second ? are you sure ? if so , then true AI is already here but hasn't been revealed to the public
Daulton Baird Such a casual Non sequitur you throw in there :P

well, in just 9 months, this channel has already hit 1 million.
This is what I call a successful UA-cam channel!

I think we can all agree Apple has revolutionized the industry many times already

I hope they fix the FOV.
***** Not that, apparently it's very small. Somewhat like holding a card a couple of inches away from your face. It reduces the immersion.
Minkailu Lamin He mentions the FOV in the video.
Minkailu Lamin It will be fine. Just like holding your phone in front of you. You haven't used it yet therefore cannot judge
Cody Windsor I hope so. Have you used it yet? Just curious.
Minkailu Lamin No I haven't. The only people that have are developers and a few select journalists
Enjoy these videos alot! Never really liked 10 minute long videos but these topics are too interesting to miss

great explanation, and the music was smooth as well. lol

when he said OK google my Google now came on
Same here
scary :/
But the question is, how much will it cost?
NeedSkillNow I think $1.5K to $2K
Emmanuel Roblin Fuck that.
NeedSkillNow If it replaces all my screens, I can live with that :P It's just the first few generations, in 5-10 years this stuff will be... Can't wait.

Great video!
Another epic ColdfusTion video. Great job!
Can you make a video about SpaceX and how space industry is changing?
Lakshay Vohra Already done one: ua-cam.com/video/VHhM53XKlWU/v-deo.html

You can take it off, you know. For me the big drawback is that it would make me feel like I should be welding something.
I get deeper penetration with a fork and a spoon
Love your videos man, just subbed. Keep up the great work.
omg you used my comment
Yet another amazing video. You explain things amazingly and they are easy to understand also.
I LOVE your videos in the fact that you seem extremely well spoken and educated. Hey great work on these videos - really glad I found your channel. Subscribed right after my first watch. Cheers!
thanks for the great preview, love the clean and clear presentation.

Thanks for explaining the difference between AR and VR, I have been confused for a while.
and that's the 1st generation, can't wait to see how small or powerful future HoloLens will get, or its variations.
So basically u can be like Tony Stark after wearing that! hmm.. #Dope
Great video as always!
I just don't understand why dont you have more subs this is one of the best content on youtube
new subscriber
very well put! thanks for the review!
i have spent the last 2,5h watching ur videos. Awesome job dude love your work :)

This video really explains the working of the Microsoft Hololens. Everyone can grasp the concept after viewing this. Thanks
This is absolutely amazing! Thanks for the awesome video bro! :)
Olli Jokinen No worries man! Thanks for watching!
Another great and informative video thank you.
I prefer Microsoft's newly coined phrase Mixed Reality instead of augmented. It makes the ARG acronyms among other things far more clear.
Wow Great video as Always. Keep up the good work I belive that you will hit milion views and milions of subrscibers with this kind of videos!

Every pixel of every active screen ever produced, makes billions of photons per second.
