experiance the same issues about the new transit custom. drive it 2 days and was glad to be back in my old custom. only thing i loved about it, it look so so good and the driving with the spring suspension. drives way better. no more bouncing all over the road
Cool videos you have! Do you also have experience towing a trailer with the new Transit Custom? I'm wondering if it is normally capable of towing my 2000kg caravan?
hi I am wondering about the back barn doors on windy days do they slam open or shut on you i don't know if the locking mechanism is any good cheers from Australia
Well there is a mechanic on YT its fine if you change wet belt every 90 000 km and use only the right oil. There is no exception to what he said cause he fixed alot of Fords and fixed timing belt. If you do it like that you are fine
Have you had issue in using Waze or Google maps in your Custom as mine does not stay in position and the map on display seems to go everywhere. Seems to be a common issue with some of the custom.
@@kofib3 👋🏼 hello! I usually use iPhone maps but there’s a lot of strange problems that shows up!! Some days the sound totally disappeared and I have to stop and start the car, next day the safety system’s just won’t exit for several kilometers. Annoying 😞
@@MrSwatUpNorth Hello. wow, sorry to hear that. The custom is a nice van to drive, just a shame it has these annoying bugs. Just hope Ford addresses the issues soon.
i have 4wd auto and i have the "sport mode" BTW the car sucks, i hate the electronics, its so slow and my car beeps without a reason. I love how it drives compared to the old Transit
@@sharkbayboards hi Simon! First thanks 🙏 for watching! Question, in sport mode does it feel lacking of power? I compare it to the Renault Trafic 170hp and in that car I didn’t have to go down in gear going uphill. And, yes the electronics is disturbing 😳 every day!!! I’m still waiting for an answer about the paint, do you have the same problem?
@@MrSwatUpNorth i have the grey color and i have not seen anything like that but i have so many other things that is wrong with the car! 4th time in the Ford garage!
@@bbb11293 as far as I know, no! But since I always drive my company car within the warranty I’m not so good at checking those things 🫣 10 years back I fixed my cars myself so…
If it has a 2.0 ecoboost engine then yes it does have a wet belt. But that is the least of the problems. Poor build quality, underneath not painted. Electrical connections around the wheel arches that aren’t water proof. Collision detection systems that prevent the vehicle driving on and off ferries. Lane assist systems that course steering issues on narrow mountain roads.... oh and how about the low cost sitting labels on the front seats. Bad enough the poor quality but have a label actually say it really sticks it.
@@jimmytwizzle7836 so far it seems like you’re right 😞 I hope it stays together for the upcoming 2,5 years until next leasing period, have to stay positive 😉

Does it have proximity entry? Teh Australian version still requires you to pull out the keyfob and press lock/unlock.
No, you have to press!
The electric door handle on back door constantly disconnects!!
A lot of pressing the key fob in other words😅🤨
