Klymaxx was an all female R & B band. There big hits were, "The Men All Pause", "Meeting in the Ladies Room", "Diva's Need Love Too", and a ballad called "I Miss You".

Old funk music! 🎶 🕺 We used to breakdance to this when we kids in the 80s. Roller skating ⛸️ rink music. Lol. Oh ya, a lot of us listened to all kinds of music and genres. Variety is better . Snoop and a lot of the west coast rappers sampled funk music, they grew up to this music too.
The reason it sounds like Dre is because the G Funk sound of the 90s came directly from the Post Funk era of the early 80s. Bands like Midnight Star, Zapp & Roger, Atlantic Starr & Lisa Lisa were directly where that sound came from. It all originated with the Funk sound of the 70s that was dominated by Parliament,Funkadelic, Bootsys Rubber Band etc.
