i like that you use a knife that just about anyone can afford. to me whittling is done with a " knife like grandads". the knife you carry each day😊. great video
What an amazing video you are so talented I can't wait to try doing one I also want to ask you could you please do a video showing how to strop your knives really would appreciate it thank you for everything you do
Thank you very much! I did a video on my method on knife sharpening (which included stropping) ua-cam.com/video/ClDyNUdi-54/v-deo.html Let me know if it helps. 👍✌
Good job as always. Nice touch with the mole(LOL) Abe's got me beat by two days. My Bday is the 14th. How about doing a Cupid on Wednesday ? Looks like that pocket knife is sharpened up good. Thanks for sharing your talents.
Great expertise, great videos and great commentaries!! I wonder, are we seeing exactly what you see? If yes, what kind of equipment and setup are you using? Are you using a magnifying glass or just bare eyes for everyday whittling? Thanks in advance for your reply!
Thank you! I periodically use a set of "reader" glasses to aid my old eyes. The camera I use is situated just in front of my head, so the angle is comparable. However, to make it easier for people to see what I am doing the camera zoom is a bit greater than normal vision. 👍✌
Since I used all 3 blades on this knife, probably only 1 to 2 times for each blade. On a typical one knife carving in basswood or eastern white pine, with a standard woodcarving/whittling knife, I strop at least every 15-20 minutes (maybe 10 pass on each side each strop).👍✌

I want Eisenhower next :)
"I Like Ike" - oddly enough must of my old man whittles come out like Ike 🤪. 👍✌
Hey found that video thank you can you still buy that utility knife you use
Unfortunately, it is not as easy to find the Stanley 199 as it used to be, but I believe a few places still sell them online. 👍✌️
I would thin out the ear lobes, but other than that it’s gtpreat👍👍
Yes, his ear lobs are a bit "heavy." Thank you much! 👍 ✌️
QQ, how many times did you strop during this carve? How about during a typical carve with a standard carving knife? Thanks!

Do you sell these?
Never thought much on selling. I usually just give some away every now and than.👍✌
I hope that pine is not treated, not good on skin.....
Nope just good old "untreated" eastern white pine. 👍✌
