I love how he did not sound arsed at all. You made him feel comfortable and understood which is why he was so open in his conversation. He has suffered so many horrible interviews where the presenter was just checking boxes over his career. This was a real treat, and he knew he was on home turf to talk about personal production issues and his future plans. Fantastic!
It’s good to have you back for more excellent content Dan. I can’t wait to hear from everyone involved with the new album in your forthcoming interviews. ❤😊
Fantastic to read about your journey and the thrill of after '25 years in radio' you 'interviewed your hero' Love your passion ! great interview too...interesting to hear about his process in the studio etc...I'm in the midst of self recording an album and it's useful and practical advice...to paraphrase...'If it sounds good...then it is good' ...Really looking forward to getting '66' in the post over the next few day...Thanks for the share Dan !
Loved all of Series 2, the podcasts have been brilliant, really great mix of stories and technical stuff - really appreciate the insight! A few weeks after release now, I have to say that I’m not into the new record as a whole (Burn Out and Soul Wandering are my favourites). Maybe it will find me in a different time and place in the future, I hope so. Looking forward to Newcastle in October though and whatever comes next :)

I’m going to start a podcast called Desperately Seeking Dan and the first person I’m going to interview is Paul Weller…
Flying Fish . F being the 6 letter of the alphabet.
Paul’s chat was butchered with constant New Labour propaganda. Couldn’t you and your podcast spare us listeners from that kind of monetisation?
UA-cam isn’t a free platform mate. I guess they have to make revenue somehow to pay for all of the storage space to host free content such as this.
