Hi guys. On the low sugar…all carbohydrates turn into sugar when consumed so those huge bowls of pasta are the same as eating huge amounts of chocolate bars. There is no difference between a bowl of pasta and a bowl of chocolate, as far as sugars are concerned. So, when looking at packaging for sugar content you should really be looking at the carbohydrate content too. Hope this helps ❤️
Elliot, for your low salt project, I wonder if something like less-processed Pink Himalayan salt or Celtic sea salt may be healthier? Table salt is the most processed and the pink and Celtic sea salts have more minerals and they balance electrolytes. I use pink Himalayan salt and Real Salt, a mineral salt from the US. I think Celtic sea salt is from the waters off Brittany, France so perhaps easy to aquire. Hope this helps!
Congratulations Eliott & Matt on your weight losses. I have to agree with another comment on your pasta portion sizes, they do seem rather large & i think smaller portions would help with further weight losses. Thinking of you all & hoping Matt's Grandma improves bless her. xx
You're doing absolutely the right thing by not denying yourself. It's why diets fail (I should know!!) Enjoy a dessert occasionally and enjoy it without any guilt. Great weight loss!!! Fabulous.... btw, you have persuaded me to visit the David Austin centre and I just can't wait!
To be honest, I’m SO happy you’re going to cover the Grow-Bags with something aesthetically pleasing!! I love your green house and I love you boys. Prayers for Matt’s Nan.
Sorry to hear your gran is not well, Matt.😢 The space behind your greenhouse is ideal for a hardening off area/nursery border as protected from the wind and some warmth/protection from the greenhouse. ❤
@ellioonmatt ouch my left big toe slid forward as i stepped out of the shower and hit the large draining silver thing and it bled profusely for a few minutes and now is throbbing - i am in luck - the man whom i adore is a haemotology consultant
The fabric for the grow bags is a nice idea. It will look much better. Good job eating all the healthy berries. Now you need to get the pasta portions under control. One cup only per serving with a cooked veg and green salad on the side. I love my pasta, but it spikes your blood sugar, and very hard to loose weight eating pasta. Ask me how I know? Sigh......☹
If it fits she sits lol aww ☺️ Can I just suggest something to lose weight fast. You're eating too many carbs. I'd keep off the pasta and bread. Just meat and veg only (😄 oh my!) X
Hi guys. Matt, those are a breed of Hostas in your border. There are many different. I have 3 variations and they are blooming now. Love your Bluebells too!!! Would be beautiful in a border of you could move them. That way you could have your front yard.
Hey Elliot! Sorry to hear about Matt’s Nan being sick in the hospital, I hope she gets well soon! Also, would you mind giving more details about the lawn restoration you have to do in the front garden after the blue/white flowers have gone? We actually also have a nice unused area in the front of our house we might just transform into a meadow! Also, is everything in full sun? Thanks Elliot!
Hi guys. Love your vlogs as always. Matt I hope your nan gets well soon. I love the colour of your interior doors. May I ask what colour it actually is. Take care.
I love the gardening part of the vlog. I live in Washington State on 5 acres so I am lucky to have a big flower garden. For sure that plant is foxglove. Let it bloom and go to seed, and you will have lots of volunteers next year. Hope Matt’s Nan is feeling better. Thanks for letting us see another week. Can’t wait for home tours.
Love love the spring blue bells in your front garden. The one you forgot is a spirea. I just bought a couple for my borders. Regarding your chop chop on the grasses. Take them right down to the ground, Water good, general purpose fertilizer and it will come roaring back. I have had two in pots, and they really should not grow, they are much to big, but this is what I do to mine and they seem to grow and plume.
Congratulations on your five-pound sugar free weight loss Elliot! I'm sorry Matt's Nan isn't well; hope that changes very soon. Rory in the grow bag is so cute (hope I've got the right name)! Your front and back gardens are beautiful; thanks for sharing them with us! 🐈🐈🌱🪴🍃🥧🐦
Congratulations on the weight loss! Well done!👏🏻👏🏻 I’m a type II diabetic and have been told that Brown rice, whole wheat pasta and spelt pasta are the healthier choices. They take longer to breakdown in the body so the carbs in them is over a 12 hr period instead white rice/pasta which give you a faster hit of sugar than the whole wheat/spelt/brown varieties! Hope this is of some help. Also be watch out for too much fruit. Drink lots of water. I think that moderation is the key.😊
As someone said in the comment section, i strongly recommend you to switch your regular table salt to pink salt or the french " sel de Guérande " I think you can easily find them in the UK. Wish a quick recovery for the nan... Love your new intro 😊
Love your blogs, i hope you don't mind me mentioning but non organic strawberries have at least 10 lots of pesticide sprayed on them, Pesticides are toxic. X
Oh berries and fruit is so expensive…. I planted several blueberry bushes, blackberries and strawberries this year….as well as dwarf peaches and mandarins…. Next year I’ll add raspberries and a few more fruit trees
Loving your garden and greenhouse!! My greenhouse is keeping my veggies alive. It did get down below freezing a couple of nights. The cucumber leaves didn't like it, but everything is doing well, even the cucumber plants. I hope that all goes well with Matt's grandmother. Thoughts and prayers with the family 👪 🙏

Boyo's it's portion control! They were some big bowls of pasta! You'd be shocked when you weigh out food how much a portion actually is.

You're absolutely right, pink salt and what you call " Celtic " sea salt which is currently named " sel de Guérande " in french, are way more healthy.
I love how gentle and everyday these blogs are. It like listening to a friend chat about his life ❤

The yard looks lovely, but you need a little fire pit so you can enjoy the outside on a chilly day.
