Thanks a million - this showed me how to open the cover and get to the sensor. In my case it was simply stuck, something must have gotten to the bearing. Turning it a bit fixed it all. Saved me days of having to send it to the repair centre.
Thank you soo much.. very helpful ... last time when I got this issue, I had waited for a month for the support person to fix this. This time I am able to fix it myself with in few mins.
Thanks for that. Gave me the confidence to fix the dtof sensor error. Took the cover off saw it was working without it then replaced it. The casing must have been in contact with the spinning laser. All fixed now.
Thx. In my Deebot N8, the sensor cover was covered in dust from inside, that's why the sensor wasn't working. I just cleaned the cover from inside, it helped
Ok guys, you mentioned now often enough it‘s difficult to remove it... but HOW actually do you remove it? How is it attached to the body? Plastic clips which you have to push? Do you need just force? Thanks for the video, the rest seems very straight forward, nice!
Hey guys, thanks for your replies. Good news is I managed to open it! But be aware, there ARE plastic clips used to keep it in place. I was lucky enough they didn’t break. I startet below the power button and then on the left side. After that I loosened the outer clips. I used a plastic tool to get underneath the panel and pushed forward. I can provide more detailed pics of the clips and holes if requested. Cheers!
So you replaced that elastic thing around the sensor right? Because it was not good anymore, so in fact before opening the robot, i must have a new elastic to put inside
No. I just had to clean it and then it ran again. You can probably use a simple rubber band for it, even if it probably doesn't last long. But then you know how to disassemble it. ;)
Thank you. I disassemble the robot. The laser unit do not rotate freely when i spin it manually. I opened and cleaned but nothing changed. Do you have any suggestion? :)
Hello do You have a solution for the anti drop Sensors i tried everything cleaning, unplug battery, even replace battery dosen't Work i don't No what to do anymore.
So not sure what it is but mine also had that small plastic artifact/debris where the LDS band is. Possible flashing or something not cleaned from the wheel during assembly? Anyways, the top smaller panel is difficult to pop off, but I used a plastic tool (instead of screwdriver) to lift/pop it free from where it was clipped in from the side closer to the middle first, then worked my way around. Didn't break any clips but im sure it would be fine if a couple did break. The other panel must be freed by unscrewing the hinges spring area. Thanks for the video!
Although that's the most moronic way to show the LSD fix, just be aware guys the upper panel doesn't go as easily as he did by hand = you should use a flat screwdriver to gently unplug it from the bottom. Then it's pretty straightforward like in the video
I totally agree with you. I made the video primarily for myself because I couldn't find a video on UA-cam and when I fix things I always make videos or photos so I know how to put them back together. and yes the little lid is very difficult to open. I mentioned it in German in my video description. I will write the video description again in English. ;)
@@diffus57 sorry I was quite harsh, I got fed before trying to access to the LDS from under the robot 😂 like in some other deebot robots, only to see your video and realize I didn't have to get rid of all the screws underneath... The upper panel was really tricky, I tried to force it from the top but I felt it would break. Was way easier from the bottom. Anyways, thks mate it's working again (some junk preveting the turret to rotate)
Das hat sehr geholfen.
War 1zu1 das Problem nachdem ich den sauger mit luftdruck gereinigt habe.
Vielen Dank für dieses Video!!!
Mann du hast mein Leben gerettet bzw. meinen Geldbeutel! ❤
Vielen Dank! Hat meinen Ozmo 920 gerettet! 👍

Hi. If you have the same model, there are no screws! Set the Video playback speed to 0.25. That's exactly how I removed the lid. I wish you success.
AND there are no plastic clips. I opend it with my fingers. No tools needed ;)
May the force be with you!!! :D :D :D

so usefull for me, thankyou
Danke! :)
What do I do if the LDS runs when it isn’t supposed to? Runs the battery down to 0 in the middle of the night.
